I stayed a couple of nights on business. What a great hotel. Very friendly and competent staff; large, quiet and comfortable room. Loads of hot water from a good shower. Comfortable bed. Convenient position for the City. One of the best London hotels I have stayed in. Puts some big name hotels to shame (Goring, I am thinking of you...).... More

I travel to London fairly regularly and have stayed at several hotels. The Andaz is now my favorite. The best part is that it's walking distance to my London office. My understanding is that a new rail link to Heathrow is being built nearby at Finsbury Circus, making the Andaz even more convenient. The accommodations are modern and sleek, and... More

Lunch in the Brasserie of the Andaz Hotel is becoming an annual occasion! A friend and I meet up to discuss work and to catch up. A main course and dessert accompanied by an excellent bottle of red wine was around £80. Great service, you're never hurried. It can be a bit noisy as it's an open plan restaurant but... More

My hubby won a UK break through work so we opted to come here with our son, our friends and their little boy. Hotel was booked with Getabed, for 2 rooms with breakfast. I emailed the evening before departure to request adjacent rooms that were quiet and both had cots for the children to sleep in. On arrival at the... More

Great staff, calm and beautiful hotel, excellent location especially for public transport, delicious food and drink. I have mobility issues and everything about this place suited my needs. Minor issues such as the building works outside the hotel, and technical issues with the television did not spoil our enjoyment one bit. This is my hotel of choice for future trips... More

Okay. I'll admit it. The Andaz has become one of my favourite hotels across my global adventures, let alone London. Back in 2010 when I tried it for the first time I wrote a review of it that was good, supportive, and detailed especially in a comparison with another Hyatt property in London, The Churchill (Marble Arch). At that time... More

My Girlfriend and I went to the Andaz last week for four nights. They provided a free update and we got a bigger room. The service was good. But there where those small things that (sort of) irritated me. They had this fantastic Bose systems iphone docking station thingy on the desk. The only thing is that it was for... More

Weekend in London turned out to be one of the best thanks to this amazing hotel. It's right next door to the train station so that's super conveninet for getting around by train/tube. Lovely room and probably one of the biggest we've seen in central London. Comfy bed and great bathroom. The staff are very good too. Very polite but... More

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
