Travellers' Choice
The hotel itself looks and feels just like a rather grand, 300-year-old town house, complete with richly furnished drawing room, library, parlour and courtyard garden. Our characterful bedrooms are all furnished with genuine antiques and named after real people who lived in the area. Our bathrooms all have period fittings, refurbished, of course, to modern standards of efficiency.

This hotel was chosen by our family as a surprise for our 50th wedding anniversary. They couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. The hotel itself is stunning, and spotlessly clean. We had a pretty private terrace, which we all made full use of. The whole experience was just wonderful. The staff were amazing. They were so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them for - even after we'd checked out. Book this hotel! You won't be disappointed!

From the minute you arrive at this gorgeous hotel you are made to feel welcome. The room we had, The Jack Shepard, was beautiful. Roll top bath, quirky decoration and wonderfully quiet. We were there to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary and their room had a 4 poster bed and a lovely terrace which we made lots of use of. We brought champagne and room decorations which the staff set out in the room for their arrival and personally brought the champagne in ice buckets with lovely flutes to the room for them. The hotel staff are the best I have ever experienced. Nothing is too much trouble and they go out of their way to help you even when you don’t ask. We ordered a meal to be delivered from an outside restaurant and when they saw it arrive we were immediately offered cutlery and plates which were then promptly delivered to the terrace beautifully laid out on a tray with napkins. This attention to detail was a theme that lasted our whole stay. Worth every penny and the location near to Liverpool Street station is ideal too. Would love to stay again very soon.

From the moment we walked through the doors we were made to feel so welcome & staff were just amazingly friendly & so helpful. Rooms were all decorated to a high standard & spotlessly clean. I would recommend any body to come & stay here. A massive thank you to ADEM REHAB, you went above & beyond your duties to make us all feel so welcome ❤️

An utterly lovely stay. This is certainly one of the nicest, if not the nicest, hotel I’ve stayed in. Everything about the hotel - the accommodation, the ambiance, the welcome, the service - is perfect. The most relaxing of breaks, in a year that’s been grim.
