Park Villa is currently rated the best hostel in London on HostelWorld! We are a new boutique hostel in the heart of the old East End of London less than a 5 minute walk from Mile End station. The hostel is a Georgian Regency villa with 8 rooms ranging from shared dormitories to private rooms with en suite and shared shower and bath facilities. We provide excellent Wi-Fi, very comfortable beds with luxury 200-thread count cotton linen, great showers, obsessively helpful receptionists and a very relaxed, chilled-out social vibe. We are not really a 'party' hostel. We find that the type of guest we attract tends to be respectful of other guests, interesting, worldy and well-travelled. We're sure that includes you and we hope to welcome you to Park Villa someday!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Yes, I was pleasantly satisfied with my two nights at Park Villa Hostel. Good vibes. I was out sightseeing London for most of the 2 days and quite hurried but there were a few little things that I should have mentioned to the staff though. Not significant enough to be a problem, but just for the sake of general maintenance then I thought I should mention here. The plug socket by my bed had a slight crackling sound at times when inserting my plug, which is usually due to electrical contacts that need better connecting, a quick 5 minute job, no big deal. It still charged my phone OK, but they ought to attend to it. The lounge computer is comedically slow, I did not particularly require using it but I did load up a Linux live boot USB that I had, and it runs very smoothly, which indicates that your computer just needs to refresh the Windows installation, clear up some of your data. Maybe an hour or two to resolve. Probably a lot of guests who like to use a computer for Internet, would bring their own laptop or a phone so it would not affect them but I think you should do something about making that computer better. I know that London city is rated highly for remote working "Digital Nomads", due to fast Internet speeds and various other lifestyle factors. I think that this hostel would be suitable for remote working, since the atmosphere is not too noisy or hectic, cleanliness is good and the lounge space could be used for casual collaborative sessions and display stuff on the TV. It seemed peaceful enough during my short stay there anyway and I did see a young woman use her laptop a bit and hear a bit of typing. Thanks!

Very nice staff and very good location close to Underground and buses. Nice breakfast for £3, they give you the option to see the breakfast before and you are free to pay for it the days you want to. Confortable beds. I would come back.

Another good stay here. Good location for cafes and eateries and TUBE station. Great value for London in the East End. Lovely accommodating staff whom are volunteers remember. Nothing too much trouble. And a £3 breakfast is the icing on the cake.

We had a twin room on a very hot weekend. Being a basemwnt flat it was nicely cool. The accommodation was clean, and the staff were really really helpful about getting to the venue for the concert we were seeing. There was also a "help yourself " light breakfast option for £3. The only issue was the toilets and showers being shared...my mum and I have reached an age where at least one night time toilet stop is a given, and this wasn't ideal as we had to go through the foyer in nightwear to reach them. Otherwise, lovely though.

I had a really nice time at the hostel. It was calm, clean and the staff was really nice and helpful. The kitchen has all the appliance you need, and the breakfast is cheap and generous. Will come back for sure if I happen to spend some days in London again !

The Hostel was nice, inexpensive(relatively) and good location (close to tub station). The staff were nice and helpful. The rooms were clean and quite. We had a private room for 2 and our son stayed in a 4 person room. The washrooms/shower are basic but serve the purpose. The kitchen was very tidy and clean though the breakfast was too basic for us.

The reception was lovely, the workers were very friendly and the room was comfortable. For three pounds the breakfast was varied and abundant, so definitely worth it. Great to have a one or two night in there.

We recently stayed as a family of four and were pleased with our room, its space and the value. We also found the nearest tube station, Mile End, very convenient for getting into London and to our final train station. The front desk kindly held our bags on our last day in London--its proximity to the Tube and the direct lines made it possible to leave our bags for free (even if the hostel is a bit out of central London) and come back for them after a full day's sightseeing to make our 6pm Eurostar train.

It was a first time for me trying a hostel and I was afraid that it would be noisy and unsafe. I'm so happy I stayed at this hostel, the venue is clean, well maintained and your privacy is guaranteed. I came back from town at 1am, went straight to bed and slept like a baby. There are several signs to ensure that guests respect the other guests sleep. The beds and pillow are super comfy. I recommend 200% and will be staying here on my next short term trip to London. Staff is super nice, I forgot the name of the guy who welcomed me but 5 star service 👏🏽
