This hotel far exceeded our expectations! We stayed here for the NFL Vikings-Jets game (SKOL!) and the room was clean, cozy and comfortable with so many personal touches. Our room felt like a little home away from home. We will stay here again next time we cross the pond!

We very much enjoyed our stay at The Resident Victoria. In particular the rooms were very clean and all furnishings were clearly of good quality and seemed to be brand new. The huge fluffy bath sheets, plentiful hot water, luxurious rain shower, & high quality & quiet air con were all much valued! The location was peaceful despite being so central - it felt like a very restful London visit. Rooms have kitchenette, Nespresso machine, microwave, Brita tap, & GHD hairdryer. Rooms were 'Covid checked' & security sealed for our arrival. Temperatures are checked for every guest each time you re-enter the hotel. Rooms are compact & given how high quality everything is I would recommend paying for as large room as you can afford in order to make the best of the luxury. We stayed in Standard Double Rms. & staff are excellent - everyone is gracious, polite, professional & wanting to make your stay exemplary.

My wife and I had a short weekend break in London but unfortunately got hit by a four hour train delay, making us miss our first big booking we had planned. After eventually getting into the city we made a beeline for the hotel to freshen up for the rest of the afternoon (spending 7 hours on a train had not been kind to either of us). Upon arrival, we were greeted by Aaron, who was an absolute delight. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the local area and gave us a few ideas of what to do to make up for our missed lunch booking, and even gave us a free upgrade. The staff were all charming and incredibly genuine, and really helped turn the trip around for us.

The room itself was lovely - basic, but presented incredibly well and both comfortable and spacious.

The location is also excellent, close to the major attractions but it never felt busy or hurried. Will absolutely be returning on our next visit to London.

Dear Caladrath Thank you for your 5 star review. I am very happy you enjoyed your stay with us. 4 hour delay for the train sounds like a nightmare and spending 7 hours to get to London definitely not great. Its a good thing then that you were greeted by Aaron to brighten up your day. Thank you for mentioning Aaron and the great service he gave. I am glad he was able to assist you with recommendations and was able to give you an upgraded room. Thank you for also mentioning that the whole team was charming and helpful. I am pleased that you will be returning in the future and we look forward to it. Regards Tyrone Cinnamon

Whilst we only live an hour from London by train, when friends visit the City we'll meet-up and dine, go to the theatre and spend a day or two together - so it's more convenient to book a hotel for one or two nights than travel daily. We've stayed in many hotels in London and the challenge is to secure a reservation where both the location is good and the hotel affordable. The Resident ticks both of these boxes.
Relative to price, the location is excellent. Adjacent to Buckingham Palace and a gentle stroll across Green Park to Piccadilly. 10 mins walk from Victoria Station. No Underground station immediately adjacent, but lots of fun places within reasonable walking distance.
This is a small hotel with no dining facilities, but well-maintained bedrooms have a kitchenette with sink, microwave, Nespresso machine, kettle, crockery and glassware. Bed was very comfortable. Shower only. We were on the ground floor (room 12) at the rear of the hotel and it was unbelievably quiet. Front of house service was very good. Basic rooms are on the small side, but (relative to London) excellent value if you book well in advance and join the Resident's Club which offers an additional 15% discount. We booked 3 months in advance on a 'pay at hotel' basis and paid £156 per night which we thought good value for London. Very happy to recommend and will be on our shopping list for our next trip.

We booked two rooms for a family visit to London, the hotel has a great location for visiting all the tourist sites. We had a wheelchair user in the family so had to walk to many attractions because of the inaccessibility of many tube stations. The location of the hotel made this very convenient and we were able to use the close byVictoria tube station for wheelchair accessible stations on the circle and district line. The rooms were very comfortable, especially the beds ( never had a better nights sleep in a hotel ), and well sound proofed, so no street noises all night in this busy part of London. The kitchen, with fridge and microwave,in the room was a really useful addition to the facilities, instead of the usual kettle and a teabag. There were good showers in the bathrooms and the accessible bathroom was very well equipped and large.
The best thing about the hotel was the staff who were not only friendly but had considered and anticipated our requirements prior to our arrival and knew who we were before we introduced ourselves at the reception desk. We are looking forward to our next visit and thanks for a fantastic stay

The hotel is fantastic. The modern rooms are soundproofed and triple glazed, it was SILENT. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotlessly clean. Good natural daylight too which is unusual in a hotel room. Efficient air conditioning and not noisy. The little kitchen area was useful. All the staff we encountered were extremely welcoming and helpful.

The hotel is just a few minutes walk to the Victoria Tube station (there is a little cut-through which makes it quicker), with a Waitrose on the way for grabbing a pastry for breakfast. In the other direction there is Buckingham Palace which was a great starting point for our sightseeing walk around London.

We booked direct with the hotel and joined their loyalty club for a discount on the room rates. There was also a link and discount code in the confirmation email for the London Eye which saved us 30%.

I recommend this hotel to everyone!

Dear Kathy Thank you for your great review and I am really happy you enjoyed your stay with us. Our rooms are super quiet that it's easy to forget you are in the heart of Victoria. Sometimes it just doesn't seem real that you can step out the door and be right next door to Buckingham Palace. I am glad you found the team welcoming and friendly. They are the absolute best and the reason why our service is so highly rated. Our housekeeping and maintenance teams make sure our rooms are in the very best condition so our guests can relax and enjoy their stay. We are as mentioned very close to the Victoria tube station and we do indeed have a nice cut through for quicker access. You are starting to sound like a local and we love this 😊 I am glad you joined up as a member to enjoy the great savings only our members get and its awesome that you got our discount for the London eye. I am sure you enjoyed the ride. Thank you for the recommendation and we look forward to seeing you again. Regards Tyrone

We stayed at the air conditioned The Resident in Victoria (so close to everything including the real Royals at Buckingham Palace, great restaurants, the Tube, buses and more) July 29-July 31 prior to taking a cruise out of South Hampton. Air Conditioned? It was hotter than usual in London when we arrived.

We were welcomed by a wonderfully friendly professional staff at the front desk. Since we got in early before official check in, they kindly stored them in a secure location while we hit the sights of London that late morning and early afternoon. Upon returning, our luggage was in our rooms! The hotel looks quite new in the furnishings and décor even with a wet bar sink and refrigerator and Nespresso coffee machine and pot for tea. The beds are quite comfortable. Our original room (as our new room) was a nice size with a desk, and flat screen TV on the wall.

Original room? After our first night, we were in our room readying for our day when water started coming out of the smoke detector and fortunately on my backpack (we found out it was waterproof:). We quickly grabbed towels and kept the water from soaking our bed. Upon calling the front desk, a maintenance man came up in a flash and said he hadn't ever seen that before. The front desk folks asked us to pack up and they would get us a new room as soon as possible. We took our luggage down to the lobby secure room. What we later learned was that the guests in the room above us had stopped up their wet bar sink and left the water running overnight. The water soaked their floor and then started going through the floor and into our ceiling. While the flood episode wasn't their fault, the hotel staff was over-the-top in kindly finding us a new room, moving our luggage to the room while we were out discovering London and leaving a bowl of fresh fruit, chocolate and wine in our fridge to apologize for the inconvenience. We truly felt like royalty!

Wait there is more you should know! Staff member Jason Gago invited us down for wine happy hour (a feature for all guests everyday) at 6 pm. He gave us great restaurant ideas for dinner each night. In addition he suggested a hole in the wall little Italian deli around the corner from the hotel for breakfast. It had fabulous coffee and breakfast at a reasonable price. The Resident Staff always gets their breakfast from that place.

Whenever we get back to London, The Resident in Victoria is the place we will stay again and again!

A hotel that exceeded expectations. The location is ideal, close to Victoria station and Buckingham Palace. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds are super comfy. You get an espresso machine in the room and there is a separate (Brita filtered) drinking water tap. You have a mini kitchen in the room that has cutlery, bottle opener, glasses etc. Overall a great place to stay and will definitely stay again.

Our stay was essentially all that we could have hoped for our 3 night stay. We gave the hotel a heads up we would be arriving early because of our flight. We flew into Gatwick and took the direct express train to Victoria station. From there it was a 5-10 minute walk to the hotel. We were given a warm welcome and a recommendation on where to get breakfast as our room wasn't ready yet. While we were eating breakfast we were notified our room was ready. The room was cozy and comfortable. We appreciated the shower, robes, and toiletries, comfortable bed, and kitchenette with a Nespresso machine. The location of the hotel was very convenient to access many tourist sites such as Buckingham Palace, Westminster, parks, and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to London.
