Just come out of the underground Russell Street station and on your right you find this small hotel. Good for your short stay as you find every thing just nearby. All major places of interest are within a distance of 2 miles, and you get transport for all directions. Rooms are comfortable, staff polite and attentive, and food quality is...

For me, its location and cost. For 80 euro..you literally exit the Russell Square tube and there is the door. Great for single travelers. In Bloomsbury..only a couple of streets from museums. On the Picadilly line that goes to Covent Gardens, Harrods@Knightsbridge and straight to Heathrow. Breakfast is basic cornflakes, toast and tea or coffee as shown. Many stairs (54...

As noted by many who have reviewed this hotel the reception, staircases and general decor are very impressive. The rooms themselves are a bit tired, we noticed some of the fittings in the bathroom were loose or missing for example. All upmarket hotels nowadays seem to have some sort of fitness suite but we couldn't find one here. There were...

A superbly fresh and abundant buffet, well priced and well attended proper Sunday English breakfast. We thought it was the best we had all week while in Bloomsbury. The Hotel Russell is grand and most of all our meal was scrumptious lovey!

Great Position, just beside of the tube station. Quite and clean. Room's space is acceptable. Breakfast is ok. Owners are SUPERKIND and the price is hypercompetitive compared to London standard. Like!

Spent one night at the Hotel Russel. Well located for the West End, British Museum and Oxford Street. Located in a pleasant square. Reception was quick and efficient and the room was spacious and well appointed. The bed gave a goon nights sleep. The breakfast in the morning was buffet style. The breakfast was freshly cooked, well presented and no...

    Staying in Bloomsbury

    Neighbourhood Profile
    Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
