Shared plank platter was really good value and tastyvl but only 2 staff behind the bar serving drinks and food to tables when about 50+ in the pub resulting in unacceptable delays in getting served at the bar.The girl serving was great and doing get best and working hard but the lad was very disinterested and looked lazy .Sort it...

Stayed for two nights bed and breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, recently refurbished. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided in the rooms. Breakfast was served in a small separate dining area where you could help yourself to cereal and toast, tea, coffee, juice whilst waiting for a full English breakfast to be freshly prepared. Reception staff were...

Came for a family meal which we all thoroughly enjoyed. I had chicken alfredo was very filling. My fiancé had a mixed full he really enjoyed it but the plates were oddly small for the meals! 2 for 1 on desserts meant we couldn't say no, the chocolate fudge cake was massive. Would certainly eat here again in future

After finishing work we thought we would call into the Blue Bell for a meal on our way home. I ordered my meal SURF, TURF AND CLUCK Crispy breaded tail-on prawns, rump steak and a whole chicken breast, served with a grilled tomato, beer-battered onion rings, mini corn-on-the-cob, peas and chips. I was asked how I would like my steak?...

We ate in the pub at the carvery and the food was good. We enjoyed a lovely day with family having a few drinks. The pub is basic but good. HOWEVER... This hotel is extremely tired and in need of an update. From the oppressive green as you walk down the corridors to the paint that is flaking off the...

Oh wow! We thought we'd try here for lunch after people had raved about it, they were so very right to! Great value for money food was delicious, my only moan is the TVs were ridiculously loud with the football on, next time however I'll make sure we sit in the dining area

Booked last minute for overnight business trip. Arrived in torrential rain the room was clean and warm if a little dated and tired. The bar food was just that cheap and not so cheerful. Staff friendly and helpful. No disturbance during the night. Breakfast average and the dining room very sparse. Ok for overnight accommodation.

Took the family here and although it is typical pub the food was only average, not much taste but ok for an occasional visit, family friendly and good outside area, may go back sometime if I am passing, I must say other friends of ours go and they enjoy so each to their own.

I would just like to take this opportunity to apologise to yourself Dave, we certainly aim a lot higher than to deliver average food so it is very disappointing to hear that on this occasion you weren't entirely happy. We hope to see you again soon to show you the standards which we usually deliver.
