Stayed here for 1 night. Staff very pleasant and attentive from the moment we arrived. Even though the rooms are at the back of the pub, you wouldn’t know as it was very quiet and peaceful. Stayed in the family/disabled room. Main bed was huge and set up nicely with duvet, lots of cushions, heavy blanket and fluffed up pillows. Solid furniture in the room (wardrobe, chest of drawers, dressing table, bed side tables). Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. Wet room good size and of good standard. Shower temperature and pressure great, two shower heads (one from above and one in front). Nice little touches, selection of towels (100% cotton), toiletries, sleep masks, hairdryer. Lovely decor. Plenty of sockets around. Patio door onto small but pleasant patio and garden area. Thick, high quality black out curtains. 4 of us stayed in the room (2 adults, 17 and 10 year old). The super king for adults, double sofa bed for 17 year old and single fold up bed for 10 year old, still with plenty of room to move around. Check out was by 11am so enough time for a lay in and breakfast that was included in the pub next door (breakfast up until 9.30 or 10am depending on day of the week). Breakfast cooked to perfection. Choice of cereals, yogurt, toast with jams, marmite etc. and of course cooked full English breakfast. Very accommodating with choices- I wanted avocado with mine, even though a separate choice on menu- happily provided. Eggs cooked to your liking. Table service for cooked food, tea and coffee. Help yourself to fresh juices and cereal. Wifi password given in a booklet in the room also.
Only comment on something that could be added is a hand rail in the bathroom for disabled guests to use the toilet.

Highly recommended, would stay again.

This hotel did exactly what it said it does. It offers nice rooms that are all on the ground floor round the back of the pub. They offer a family room that has a wet room,2 sofa beds and a double bed. I was pleased with the overall experience and it was nice and quiet 🤫 😊. The room includes a little patio with a table and 2 chairs. The breakfast was a nice range of foods including: a sausage or bacon sandwich, a full English breakfast, toast , yogurt and a poached breakfast. A 1 minute walk away there is a nice playground and table tennis table with all the bats and ball with it. The location is nice and pretty.
Overall I am quite happy with my stay and got a good night's rest.

Having recently moved to Norfolk and the Honingham Buck being not too far from where we live, my wife and I popped in for a lunchtime drink to see what it's like.
We didn't eat but the menu looks good, the restaurant is well laid out and the fact that most of the tables were reserved probably speaks for itself.
The bar has a good selection of drinks, the staff are friendly and attentive and the customers who were already in the bar and who all appeared to be local as they obviously knew each other, made us feel welcome. The prices are on par with many others in the area, so really, there was nothing not to like about this place.
We've spoken to others about this pub /restaurant and no one has a bad word to say about it.
We will definitely be back.

Fantastic food but spoiled but the ridiculously fast service. I didn’t want a McDonalds, I wanted a leisurely, lovely meal out with my husband. I couldn’t enjoy my main meal because it was all so rushed and I had only just finished the starter. The waitress was very good and took the wine off the bill because we didn’t actually get a chance to drink it. She told us that a lot of people complain about the fast service and sometimes she comes out with the next course when people are still finishing their starter and has to take it back to the kitchen. Come on Honingham Buck, please read this review and sloooow down, so we can come again.

Stayed for one night on a family weekend to Norwich.
Room clean but could do with a bit of maintenance, such as demolding the shower and touching up paintwork in the bathroom . One upsetting thing we found was the green night light that couldn’t be switched off and left the bedroom bright.
Breakfast next morning was a basic English, hardly any choice.

We absolutely love it here for a Sunday roast. This was our second visit after falling in love the first time we tried their roast!

we love it being dog friendly, they were very welcoming to our little spaniel.

Great service, great food, I’m sure we will be back soon.

My friend and I met for a long overdue catch up midway between our homes and choose to meet at The Honingham Buck.
What luck!
The food was really good, we both choose the Katzu chicken to start with followed by the sea bream with perfectly cooked orzo.
We choose to sit outside and the service was spot on, we are looking forward to a return visit.
Well done to the chef and the whole team for such a lovely experience, especially in these unusual times.

It was much nicer here than I had expected and the landlady was very friendly and welcoming.
The room that we had was nice and the bed was comfortable, but the shower that we had didn’t work properly, and the bulb had gone in the shaving light above the bathroom sink.
Foodwise, we had a nice meal in the evening in the restaurant and found the waitress was friendly and efficient and the food was very well presented. The following morning, we had breakfast, with both of us having a full English breakfast (no egg for me though) which again was tasty.
I could not fault the place either for location which was pretty or for the room (apart from the shower/light), food or service that we experienced.
If we are ever back in the area, we would stay here again.

Fantastic lunch- great service, well priced.
Have recently been very disappointed with meals out in Norwich, it was a real delight to enjoy an excellent meal in great surroundings, so close to the City.
Would thoroughly recommend a visit and will definitely be back soon.
The desserts were exceptional !

The hotel is on a quiet road, with ample parking. The lady on checking in was really
Polite and it was smooth check in, even taken to the room. Which is a really nice gesture too.
The food in the restaurant was excellent, from the service to bringing the food out. It was freshly cooked and presented well. Breakfast was good too. Overall I would use this quaint hotel again and if I could I would give 20 out of 10 for everything.
