Over all a nice, clean and tidy hotel. I stayed in one of the rooms at the top of the hotel which was fine for me but may challenge someone 6'' plus, due to the slope of the room. The room was clean, well lit and furnished comfortably. Breakfast was very good.

This hotel served us well as a stop off before our son's graduation. We were lucky to get the last street parking place, there is no car park. Our double room was small, but clean, and the ensuite bathroom was huge and very well fitted. The breakfast room is bright and very attractively furnished, although the breakfast itself was fairly basic, without much variety. No complaints, just not very exciting.

We must stress the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Bathroom was spacious, bedroom was clean and well presented however the bed was a little uncomfortable and extremely squeaky! Food wasn't the best but what we expected from a relatively inexpensive hotel so no real complaint.

Pros: Good sized room Good condition Helpful friendly staff Good breakfast Convenient for station and town Yard to put bikes in Cons: No air con so very warm in summer Noisy as on corner of busy road so if you need to have the window open this isn’t ideal

Overall hotel very nice, but on arrival found our bed to have not been changed only made, previous occupants rubbish, half drunk water bottle, hair grips left on side and surfaces very dusty. Although manager had been advised he made no effort to have a word with us on the two mornings we saw him. Will not go back.

Response from StraceyHotel, General Manager at Revado Hotel

I can only apologise for this one-off mistake as your room was released to you before it had been serviced. We have clearly not met our own high standards in this particular occasion. I did not speak to you myself as I was satisfied that the situation was handled in-line with our guest service policy.

Hotel as fine. Clean, friendly service location was OK just 10 minute walk into Norwich. Overall it was fine value for money and I would have no hesitation staying again- Breakfast was huge. We walked into Norwch and took in some of the sites. Had a meal in Jamie Oliver's resteraunt which was OK but not brilliant. Generally we had a very pleasant evening and stayed in a very pleasant Hotel

Booked 1 room for overnight stay. There is a problem with car parking as there is no provision on site and overnight in nearest public carpark is £22.00. Staff are friendly and polite, rooms are clean and adequate. Breakfast is good but problems in the kitchen prevented full menu choices.

Response from StraceyHotel, General Manager at Revado Hotel
Responded 28 Jul 2014
Thanks for your comments, I do feel the need to clarify that we were only unable to offer fried and poached eggs. Scrambled egg was the alternative and all other breakfast items were available. A blown fan in our extraction had caused the gas fail safe to prevent us using the gas burners.

Friendly and helpful staff, good full English breakfast, clean bathroom. That's pretty much all I need when I travel on business. Located 5 minutes walk far from the train station, no private parking but still plenty of space to leave the car overnight.

The Stracey Hotel is just 5 minutes walk from Norwich railway station and 10 minutes easy walk to the city centre. It is clean, has decent sized bedrooms with all facilities and the staff are helpful and friendly. The bed was comfortable. The shower is quite powerful and hot water plentiful. It is a 3 star AA hotel. The breakfast is good with fresh fruit, cereals, breads, yoghurts, jams, cheese and the full selection of cooked food. Vegetarians are catered for. It is just up the road from Carrow Road football stadium for those attending a match. it is also 5 minutes from a picturesque walk along the river. I would go again if I visited Norwich, which is a beautiful city and great for a short break.
