Deer's Glade Caravan & Camping Park is frequently commended for its exceptional amenities, including its cleanliness and thoughtful additions like food vendors. Nestled in a picturesque setting, guests enjoy scenic walks and proximity to Cromer beaches. The comfortable rooms, although sometimes limited in accessibility options, contribute to the serene homeliness that many guests love. We had a very nice few nights stay at this site. The site is so clean and tidy, there is two main toilet/shower blocks, these were very clean and nice touch asking people to mope the floor after use, so clean for next person. There is also a family/disable toilet shower room in each block (a little cramped, but more than usable).
The park was good and we loved the goats to feed, It was 50p for a small cup.
The shop on site has a good selection of bits, food, drinks, toys, pet food at reasonable price. I loved the fact the pond was fenced off, piece of mind not that we let kids walk off.
Only down side for us was the signal, I know they can’t help mobile signal, they do have Wi-Fi but it didn’t work very well, and when site got busier it got worse.
Touring pitch were a good size and we liked the hedges in between.
We saw a group of 6 large deer in the fields, which was nice.
The fighter planes were rather busy and loud over site during day, but we love them.
14 minute drive to the Cromer pier.
We would book again.

Thank you very much for your review! We are glad to hear that you found our facilities clean and tidy and the mop a nice touch. Sadly the signal isnt great here unless you are on EE. Perks of the countryside! However, we have just upgraded our Wifi which has made a great difference onsite. We look forward to welcoming you back and introducing you to the new and improved wifi service! :)

My partner and I stayed in the Hedgehog Luxury Glamping Pod for 2 nights/3 days.

Upon arrival, the pod was easy to navigate by using the map that had been sent to us on the day of arrival, which was located to the right hand side of the entrance. There’s a parking space directly outside the pod which makes unpacking easy.

Reception was closed as it was Sunday, so the keys were in a lock box attached to the front of the cabin. The code for this was sent to us via text message alongside the map.

The pod itself was clean and surprisingly spacious. The heating was turned on for us already, and a welcome basket was provided with tea, coffee and biscuits (and a little bottle of milk in the fridge). The pod had all the appliances and cooking utensils you could possibly need, mini toiletries, hairdryer, clothes drying rack, blankets and a booklet with all relevant information including wifi. There are many plug sockets and USB ports dotted around.

The layout of the bathroom was a little awkward as the shower was at the entrance and the toilet at the other end. This meant wet feet when going in and out of the bathroom. However, due to the shape of the cabin, we can understand why it is this way.

Originally, we thought that the hot tub was wood fired as we had seen it mentioned in the reviews. However, it turned out to be an electric hot tub and we could not have been more pleased. The wood we bought for this was still put to good use on the fire-pit instead. The hot tub is tucked away and very private as there are hedges all round the outside area.

The only minor downfall of our stay was that the wifi didn’t work on our phones nor the tv. This was only a problem when we wanted to watch netflix in the evenings, but we managed to use our mobile date instead.

Check-in was at 15:00 and check-out at 10:00, with the option to purchase late checkout if available, which was reasonably priced.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have recommended to friends. We will definitely return in the future.

We have visited before but outside school holidays and would probably not stay during holidays again.

The site is very pretty and toilets are very clean. My son loves the park area and of course the goats. He talks about them every-time we say about camping. The lake is also pretty to walk around and the shop has some nice bits. The location of site is great.

We liked the selection of food venues.

Issues -

Facilities - unfortunately the toilet block was very busy as it was holidays and you had to queue quite a bit. Also the amount family/disable access shower rooms, we was asked twice by someone if we could not just use the normal shower as they were queuing as well and had a disability. We have a small child and baby so normal showers didn’t work for us but felt obliged to let them go in front of us, even though we’d queued. This isn’t against them. There just needs to be more accessible showers due to peak times. (But the blocks were kept clean considering the amount of guests)

Dogs - this visit there was quite a few dogs off leads, I know the rules say must be kept on lead but people weren’t doing it and I feel there needs to be more focus on telling people there will be consequences if you let your dog off on site. There was an incident, where the pitch opposite us had three dogs and my son was playing, one of the dogs run over to him and frighten the life out of him. (Imagine if a dog hurt a child on your property it would be catastrophic for your reputation.) a gentleman walking around, did tell them at one point to put their dogs back on the lead as he walked past. But I really feel like he should’ve stopped and said more, he just said a passing comment of “put dogs on lead please” whilst the dogs were running free on the open space.

Noise - the site this time around was very noisy, I like a good time as much as the next person, but loud music being played until 11pm really isn’t fair on people with small children, (one night it was well past 11) there was also adults/ kids screaming and shouting at well past 11 running around the site. Most other sites are 10pm latest for quiet time, maybe an idea. ( or maybe consider a quite section for pitches)

Overall we had a nice stay and would probably stay again if we visited Norfolk and wasn’t school holidays.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on your recent stay at Deers Glade. We appreciate your honest and constructive comments, as they help us to continually improve the experience for all our guests. We're glad to hear that you and your family generally enjoyed your time with us - the site's natural beauty, the park area, and the selection of food venues seem to have been highlights. It's wonderful that your son loved interacting with the goats as well. Regarding the facility and amenity concerns you raised: We understand the challenge of busy peak times and the need for more accessible shower facilities. We are looking into adding more family/disabled shower rooms to better accommodate guests during busier periods. But as I am sure you can appreicate it isnt a a job that can be done easily due to permissions etc. We agree that dogs off the lead can be disruptive and potentially dangerous. Our team will be more vigilant in enforcing the lead policy, and we will consider introducing clearer consequences for non-compliance to ensure the safety of all guests. The noise levels and late-night disturbances you experienced are something we do address. It can be a challenge to create the different type of holiday that each guest would be looking for. We do have an 11pm quiet time rule in place, and our team conducts regular nightly checks to address any issues only after this point. However, we will examine ways make the nights more relaxing. Thank you again for your valued feedback. We hope you will consider visiting us again, perhaps during a less busy time, so we can provide you with an even more enjoyable and comfortable stay at Deers Glade. Best regards, The Deer's Glade Team

The site is lovely, quiet and clean. We stayed in the lakeside POD (the Kingfisher) The POD was clean and had everything we needed, although not much storage space and only a mini fridge.. so pack light.
The POD was fully equiped with towels, washing up gear, salt and pepper as well as complimentary items for us and the dog, which were great and a nice touch.
The hot tub was the perfect temperature and the outside area a great space. Private access to the fishing lake kept the boys happy and they caught plenty of fish.

The WiFi and mobile signal were a bit sketchy, but that didn't bother us.

Any staff we saw were helpful and friendly and the shop on site well stocked.

I would highly recommend and just wish we had stayed longer

Lovely site and beautifully maintained. Any queries were immediately dealt with by very helpful staff. Delight to stay at. All the pitches were carefully mowed and ready for arrival, we were made to feel very welcome on our arrival despite being later than we had planned.

We have just returned from a brilliant week at Deer’s Glade! After spending a lot of time researching sites in North Norfolk we chose this site and it did not disappoint!

The site felt really homely, with hedges surrounding the generous pitches giving extra privacy. We had a car, caravan and awning on our deluxe pitch and there was still space for an outside area.

Lovely play area for the kids with park, sandpit, picnic benches and the goats are a lovely addition, keeping our children entertained for hours!

Food vans come to the site every night offering a good range of options. Can highly recommend the pizza!

The facilities are really clean and the only downside is that there are only 4 showers (4 for men, 4 for women) onsite which can mean a bit of waiting.

Lots of families onsite, our children met so many new friends, there is no bar or entertainment onsite which we really liked as it felt like a good old fashioned camping holiday!

Nice little shop onsite stocking essentials, we hired a fire pit on our last night from them.

20 minute drive to both Cromer and Sheringham, with lovely beaches. 30 mins to the Norfolk broads. The site is far enough from the main road that you don’t hear any road noise.

The only criticism we have is that the fishing lake was very smelly at times! Our pitch was just far enough away that we only got the smell a few times but wouldn’t have wanted to be any closer!

A really lovely site that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a proper camping/caravanning holiday.

After a wonderful stay last year, we booked again for this summer - the children had met friends last year at the campsite who they kept in touch with and they were all back too this year.
This campsite is so lovely, the pitches are all huge with hedges around which gives a more private feel, it has a well stocked shop with food, wines, local produce, camping essentials and pocket money toys to entertain the kids. Our two loved the ice cream trays, mr whippy filled with sauce, fudge, sweets etc. 😋
We used the washing machines which are on a token system and you can easily get 3 quick washes from one £3 token. There’s a lovley park on-site and goats in a pen. A variety of food vans visited during the week, we had pizza and the bubble waffles which were both delicious.
This campsite is the cleanest one we have been to - toilet and shower blocks are cleaned continuously, there’s no litter on site and the maintenance team are so quick to fix anything that may be broken. A hidden gem in the Norfolk countryside.
I’m sure we will be back again.

From booking on the phone with Alison and being greeted by Thalia we knew we had booked somewhere where they care about your stay. Spotless showers and toilet facilities, piping hot water and no pushing in a button every 5 seconds! Lovely location surrounded by wooded walks. Lots of wildlife. Located with easy access to the coastal towns. Totally recommended.

Stayed in the lake side retreat with my partner and son. Don’t let the website fool you, there are lots of facilities in the pod ! All you’ll need to take is clothes and toiletries. There was a small milk in the fridge and a hamper with Tea bags, ground coffee and cookies (all local). Only downside was that the hot tub is visible from the path and the bathroom floor gets quite wet. If you’re going to fish I was told that there are quite large fish in the lake so be prepared. All in all a great place to stay with a shop on site, tidy, clean and calm site. Tesco and Aylesham town 10mins drive and the town has great independent food and shops.

Absolutely lovely, quiet as not many visitors, pitch huge and well maintained, clean washing up facilities, toilets were spotless, showers powerful and hot, my only negative would be poor WiFi connectivity, not an essential but when you need to be contactable for elderly parents it’s a must. Will definitely go again!! Let’s hope the weather improves for more visits this year!!!
