We stayed in the Paston Suite. The best hotel room I've ever experienced in a hotel at this level. For Dinner the obvious choice is the five course taster menu which is actually six with the Amuse Bouche. The only criticism is that breakfast service ends to early mid week

To be honest, I don't think this hotel is a 5, but more of a 4.5. But, I don't think I should round down. The history is what makes this hotel. It is not a modern hotel, although they're working to keep it up to date. Great breakfast, wonderful staff, and a perfect location to explore Norwich.

The place to go? Well run, comfortable and for what one may seek the only place in the middle of the city. Staff were very good indeed. Breakfast was good but we did not eat other meals. If going back to Norwich we would look no further.

Dear fiveducks, We think so. We work very hard to ensure our team represent the type of hotel that we are - friendly, polite, well presented and knowledgeable without being stuffy. Reviews like yours suggest we are achieving our goal. Kind regards Andrew S Operations manager

Overwhelmed by the good reputation but obviously they relied on it. Great location but small rooms, with maze corridors, very hot inside with no ability to adjust the heat. Personnel in the reception almost rude and with a bright exception unwilling to help. They couldn't provide adaptor for the plug and couldn't issue a right invoice.. however the breakfast was...

Dear giorgosfoutas, A reputation takes a long time to earn and comes from other guests' views, not ourselves. That we have an "Overwhelming good reputation" suggests we please a lot of our guests. I am sorry that you were not one of them. The room you stayed in has a brand new climate control system in it which the letter...

I love Norwich. I love the city, the football club and the inhabitants. The hotel is in a great location. The staff are friendly and well-informed. But it is dated. Finding rooms from the signs is a labyrinthine process!

Went to black tie evening, our room was very comfortable, with a very nice feature of pictures of local Norwich building on the wall of the shower. The staff are very friendly but not overly, It is an ideal location for visiting Norwich and surrounding areas, many thanks to all.

I stayed 2 nights in March and had a very comfortable stay. Nicely decorated room and quality mattress and sheets. The staff were cheerful and professional. There is a good bar with lots of seating areas to choose from. The breakfasts were delicious - quality food and and excellent selection with even more cooked fresh to order. Great location with...

The hotel is next to the cathedral in Norwich. The road is busy at rush hour only, and to be honest, not too bad for noise when in an outward facing room. I didn't notice any car noise from outside. The location means that it's easy to walk around Norwich without needing a taxi or car. The rooms are great,...
