Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Another enjoyable stay at this holiday inn hotel. Receptionist recognised us and provided the usual friendly and welcoming check in. Premium room was clean and nicely maintained. Food standard at breakfast was a little bit of a letdown this time.

My Husband and I were made very welcome at this hotel for a few days sightseeing in Norwich. All staff we encountered were polite and helpful. We had inclusive breakfast which was excellent, lots of choice for all and well cooked. Our room was spotlessly clean, beds were comfortable and bathroom with big fluffy towels and lots of hot water. The icing on the cake was the Leisure centre which was free of charge as a guest. I used the lovely warm pool several times while my husband enjoyed the gym and sauna. We will definitely stay again as we so enjoyed Norfolk we want to return and explore further afield.

Absolutely wonderful! As a disabled user I am so impressed — the previous year I explained to staff that it would be really useful to have a bed that was raised a little, as I cannot fit my hoist under a standard divan (I usually have to sleep on a camp bed)… But this year, the bed was raised by approximately 5 inches using casters with little legs!! So simple and absolutely genius!! I have left this feedback for multiple hotels, & to my knowledge this is the only one to actually listen & act on it! I hope more IHG hotels follow suit. It was lovely being able to share a bed with my partner — something not usually possible for hoist users in many hotels. The free carer room also helped make this possible, providing much needed privacy with the added comfort of knowing our carers are not far if we do need them; it’s one reason we often favour IHG to be honest 😊 Other than that, lovely breakfast, wonderful staff, dinner can be a bit hit & miss but nothing inedible or worth complaining about — tastes ok, fills a hole! Bed & pillows comfortable. Bedroom & bathroom has more than enough adequate floorspace for wheelchairs & hoist (we had 1 electric wheelchair, 1 small mobility scooter, & a swift lifter hoist, & there was still space for us to turn & dance around even with the extra table pulled out). Free bonus snack on arrival was a nice bonus too (nothing huge — just a selection of candy & whatnot to choose from — but I thought it was a nice addition 😊). Decent car parking near entrance. So far one of the most successfully accessible stays I have experienced with IHG. **Side note: Hoist is not provided, we brought our own; this is just regarding overall access. 😁

Room Tip: Hoist access doesn’t seem to be common knowledge to IHG staff. Also, if you want the free carer...

This hotel is wonderful !! location, car parking free , cleanliness and more so staff and restaurant. However it was like sleeping in a dogs home, room opposite our Premier Room ? was occupied by a guard dog who barked on passing residents at night any time and same throughout the day…. needless to say very little sleep; question is why are people like ourselves placed in this situation, unless they weren’t aware of the dog. IHG not anymore!

The staff at this hotel were polite and friendly. The room was clean and the facilities top notch. I did not eat here but I had a few drinks in the bar and the bar staff were attentive and professional as you would expect. I shall be staying here again

Room was spacious and clean. However, when we entered it smelled of old cigarettes which they’d done their best to get rid of. Bathroom was nice, just small. Staff were friendly and maybe because it was Christmas time, a little laid back but anything we asked for like pillows we got instantly. I guess nobody likes working over Christmas. We’ll stay again definitely. Not enough disabled parking spots however which is a shame.

Perfect for a traveller for workers looking to engage in fitness classes etc. to avoid propping up the bar. Enthusiasm instructors for a couple of classes I attended. Reception and restaurant area modern and comfortable. Rooms a little tired in areas, but clean and comfy. Plenty of space in the free car park. Popular place with large groups and workers it seems. May well book again when in the area.

We were with a coach party but the restaurant staff were so efficient that the meals were served quickly and table by table. We were very impressed with the young and cheerful staff. The three course menu would, for some, be rather limited but we found it beautifully cooked and presented, as well as being generous in the portion sizes. Our bedroom was large, clean and comfortable. An enjoyable stay.

It's a Holiday Inn - it's not going to be ultra luxurious with a personal spa in your room. Very surprised at some of the previous reviews though. The room was surprisingly large for a standard double, the bathroom was exactly what I'd expect, and throughout the hotel, everything seemed pretty much spotless & well maintained. The bed was super comfortable, the desk reading light & bedside plug points were really useful, and the wifi throughout the hotel was better than I get at home! Two things really stood out for me though. The breakfast was utterly out of this world. The first morning we had room service (judge me, I don't care), and it was quite honestly the best breakfast we've ever had. The cooked breakfast was perfection on a plate, and the continental selection was almost too much. The buffet the following morning - even better. The thing that really raises the hotel to exceptional though are the staff. The bar manager (whose name I didn't get) was great, dealing with two very big & different coach groups dining at the same time, and yet still remembering what drink I'd had only once before. The housekeeping staff were smiley, friendly, polite - and clearly take pride in their work. As mentioned in a previous review, Sheree on reception is an absolute STAR. First impressions count for so much, and she is the gold standard for how to make a guest feel welcome & informed without being pushy or over the top. I really hope the hotel realise how brilliant she is! It says so much about a workplace that all of the staff seem happy to be there. I will definitely be returning, and hopefully not before too long. Thank you to everyone for making it such an enjoyable mini break.
