Nestled in luxury, Falcon Manor Hotel is hailed for its charming decor and inviting atmosphere, providing guests with a warm and comfortable experience that often extends to its well-appointed rooms. However, travelers have noted a discrepancy in room maintenance and cleanliness, with some experiencing issues that detracted from the otherwise commendable quality of the amenities. While the service generally receives accolades for attentiveness, there have been mentions of occasional lapses. Many guests find the hotel's value proposition misaligned with the pricing, prompting some to question the overall worth of their stay.

Beautiful Hotel in a lovely part of the National Park. The room was better than expected(room 1) with a Queensize (6ft) bed. We booked a standard double/twin but it felt more like a deluxe with separate shower room and lovely deep bath tub in a raised platform in the window. Dinner was excellent and great value for money. We phoned directly and got an all inclusive deal. Breakfast was also exceptional. The staff were courteous and extremely good at their jobs. The pictures do leave you to believe it is more remote than its actual location which is on a main road. Though traffic was quite loud during the day, it wasn’t at night so had a very good nights sleep so don’t let this put you off. Drinks before dinner were taken outside on a lovely sunny terrace. The village of Setttle is delighted and only a 5 minute walk away. This is the perfect place to stay if you are heading to Scotland and want to also see a bit of Yorkshire. We did a 10k hikew on the Pennine way which is only a 20 mins drive away. Totally blown away with the Yorkshire countryside. A gem of a place.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at the Falcon Manor for 3 nights as a double celebration for her 30th birthday and our engagement.

The hotel looked amazing in the pictures and was well reviewed…we weren’t disappointed. The huge fireplace as you walk in sets the tone for the rest of the building, which is very grand with high ceilings and antique features. Bedrooms were clean, comfy and well sized.

We had a lovely breakfast each morning, with a good selection on the menu as well as pastries and fruit/granola/yoghurt etc to pick at. Food was also served in the evening, although we opted to go into Settle most nights to some restaurants that had previously been recommended.

The staff were fantastic, with a special mention to Chris who was on hand for the duration of our stay (not sure he ever left!) and was as an excellent receptionist/barman/waiter/all rounder that made sure we were looked after and was extremely approachable for any help needed.

We would certainly recommend anyone to stay here, even more so in the quieter months when you can pick up a room at great value. I’m sure we’ll be back and will always have fond memories of the Falcon Manor Hotel!

Yesterday was my grandaughter's wedding and I was delighted with the venue on first sight. My daughter took me to her room and I was impressed with the size and decor etc.

The grounds were lovely and made an ideal picturesque setting for a wedding where photographs could easily be taken outside. Downside - many steps to get onto the lawned area at the front!

There were delicious canopes provided prior to the wedding reception meal which suggested the actual meal would be equally good. However, I must say I was disappointed with the meal. I had the smoked cheese and walnut tart with a side of 'salad' leaves, beef and Yorkshire pudding with pureed carrot and roast potatoes, followed by the caramel chocolate brownie with clotted cream ice cream.

Tart was good but a bit overcooked causing the pastry to be very hard and the side of salad leaves were, literally just that, a tiny pile of bits of varied lettuces with no dressing to break the rich creaminess of the smoked goat cheese.

The large roll of beef on the plate was tasteless and rather tough although cooked to a leanness that I like, the Yorkshire pudding was inedible as it was badly overbaked and the pureed carrot I eventually found beneath this - about a desertspoonful! The roast potatoes, although a lovely flavour, were soft and lacked crispness. There was a tiny amount of gravy underneath all of this but it needed much more to enhance the flavour of the beef. I chose a few sprigs of broccolli which were a nice colour but were stringy and tough and although I looked at the carrots, that's as far as it went, because they looked dry and uninviting. A little dressing of melted butter to gloss them up wouldn't have gone amiss.

Dessert - yes, flavour 10/10 but the brownie was a complete mush-up and overheated while the clotted ice cream was minute, not much more than a couple of small teaspoons in a blob, although pleasant enough in flavour. More would have been better given the heat of the brownie.

Tea and Coffee was on the menu but never offered at the table as we all expected. Apparently there was some in another room but we weren't informed of this. Due to guests milling around, some leaving, in this room it wasn't even seen until my grandson mentioned it this morning!

Wines were plentiful but if, like myself and at least one other guest, who are non-alcohol due to medication and a gastric problem tough luck because when I asked for non-alcoholic wine I was bluntly told there wasn't any! In my view this plus the lack lustre food put a slight dampener on the day but my grandaughter looked gorgeous and the sun shone down upon us so all in all the day was good. Food 5/10 venue 8/10 staff 6/10 because they could have been more welcoming and helpful. The only one who was pleasant and helpful was the black waiter taking the canopes around and helping at tables.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel on 18 December's, 2024. We went because we were attracted to their, pre Christmas "Fireside Getaway " offer at £125.00 and , including, a £20 credit towards the evening meal.
The whole visit was excellent in every way. The room was superb, the hotel rooms ( bar lounges etc) were Christmas decorated ( not overdone but pretty much just right) and were warm, characterful and generally charming. The evening meal was good and ALL the staff excellent.
The background to us booking, was that a few weeks ago, I was walking , in Settle area fells. After the wallk, my walking group went for coffee. We were treated with such excellent goodwill and service that this was a major factor in my wife and I being attracted to the hotel.
People often say that corporate hotels have no character and are just "so so". This company 's hotel ( staff etc) shows that this is not always the case.
Well done.We will be back.

I was really looking forward to this but unfortunately we were really disappointed. We booked Sunday lunch over the Christmas holidays, The starters were nice for mains I ordered roast beef priced at £22 and my husband a burger which I think was about £18. The roast beef lunch was poor, don’t get me wrong there was plenty of beef, however there was a distinct lack of anything else on the plate. The little veg there was, was tucked under the beef which consisted of a few carrots and a little bit mange tout. The roast potatoes were tiny and extremely dry. They felt like what I would serve up the next day! For the price of the roast beef lunch I would have expected healthy portions of veg like mash sprouts, swede etc. it was really disappointing. My husband’s burger was really difficult to eat served on a board, even the waitress commented that she didn’t know why the burgers were served that way. We could have just put down to a poor choice of Sunday lunch venues but the biggest disappointment was the service charge added to the bill. I want to pay a service charge when food is plentiful and something I’ve enjoyed but there was not choice in paying it ! I felt we paid for the surroundings to be honest which are lovely but as for Sunday lunch there are nicer places to go for a decent Sunday lunch ! Wish I could have be writing a very different review but sadly this is what we experienced.

From the moment we arrived to the beautiful roaring fire, the welcome we received was so friendly and we instantly fell in love with the hotel, we upgraded our room for a small extra fee which was well worth it, we stayed 2 nights with dinner on the first night, the hotel is warm, cosy and very homely, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We had a lovely dinner with fabulous service, breakfast was delicious. We will definitely come and stay again, if the owners of the group read the reviews, your staff are just incredible and that level of service and helpfulness is what makes this hotel a wonderful place to stay.

Stayed on a Sunday evening in the falcon suite. The room was huge with a small kitchenette attached to the bedroom. Bed was a king and very comfy with good bedding. We didn't have much of a view but not an issue. Hotel is a grand old house being formerly a vicarage. The common rooms are attractive and the two ladies on breakfast on the Monday morning were excellent, friendly and amusing.
Breakfast was fine and we had a couple of starter portions on the Sunday afternoon which also very nice
Hotel is dog friendly and a good option for an overnight visit.

A beautiful place, nothing was too much trouble from the moment we arrived until we left. I would specifically the manager Melissa and the chef Tony who took great care of us and handled my wife's food allergies. They went through every item on the menu ensuring we were comfortable with the options, without making her feel like a difficult customer and putting her at ease. Wonderful friendly atmosphere, great food and fantastic staff.

On arrival imposing building, check in fine. Stairs upto room in need of hoovering and exactly tge same when we checked out!. Our room a deluxe double had a disappointing view of the bins, rubbish on the bathroom floor, no hangers in long side of wardrobe to hang dresses (asked for some but none appeared during our 2 day stay), big double shower but no where other than the floor to put shower gels etc dangerous bending over when wet and soapy. Outside seating covered in bird droppings. Most wines on menu out of stock. On our 2nd morning came down for breakfast to find dining room not in use no staff about found breakfast set up in bar, had to go searching for staff, hubby even shouted into kitchen but no one about, eventually turned up after long wait, several items not refilled without asking and pastries going to take 20mins! The one saving grace was the cooked Food which was very good. This is not a cheap hotel, almost £200 a night for bed & breakfast, we stayed in 4 different hotels during our trip this was the most expensive and the most dissapointing. On checkout I raised several issues and was told that the manager would call me to discuss. This has sadly not happened. What a shame this hotel could be so much better with a little attention to detail.

We attended a wedding party here yesterday

This a beautiful place and is well regarded locally

We did not stay overnight

The place is relatively small and the 80ish guests packed the dining room for the wedding breakfast making it a little claustrophobic and hard to get around

The food was good and impressively the staff knew who had ordered what from the menu we received in advance of the day

The bar service was less good with very slow service and occasionally unhelpful bar staff

The bathrooms were the real disaster. The facilities were small always crowded and as the day wore on became wet, smelly and generally unpleasant to use.

I know this place was expensive to host the wedding and something closer to perfection would be reasonable expectation and while I enjoyed myself the poor bar service and gross bathrooms would stop me booking a future event …

I stayed for 2 nights .Room was good but no shelf in bathroom no chairs in room. Comfy bed, some nice views, very convenient for places to eat in Settle. Breakfast is a farce, not enough staff, 30 minutes wait on first morning and food was barely warm when it arrived. On second morning had to sit in snug and keep going across hall to get things from breakfast bar. I had asked about gluten free items and ended up having bacon and tomato. On second morning a huge plate arrived with half a rasher of bacon and half a tomato, that was my breakfast! Husband got the full English, it was hot this time
