Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
We had a very enjoyable 5 night stay while doing some walking in the Yorkshire dales. Comfy bed and good breakfast. Wi-fi was a little sketchy at times but the owners are fixing that very shortly, so if you're reading this after September 2023 it's likely already sorted. Otherwise, couldn't fault it. Highly recommended.

Absolutely stunning place, excellent facilities, very clean and lovely hosts. The homemade biscuits in the room was a lovely personal touch and the breakfast was one of the best I have had at a B&B. The homemade marmalade was amazing. Location is fabulous for walkers as you have the Dales Way and it is situated on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks route. (Please note: if you wish to do the Yorkshire 3 Peaks route, you can’t leave the B&B before 7am as they have motion sensors on the driveway and will disturb the hosts & other guests. It does state this on there website). Only a mile from the Station Inn pub where you can get a great evening meal. Can highly recommend this b&b

I was so pleased to arrive at this lovely B&B after a very long and wet day walking the Dales Way. Jill and Steve looked after me so well and even dried my soaking clothes overnight. The room was very cosy and I had a great night's sleep. The breakfast was perfect and set me up for the next day's walking. I would definitely recommend this place.

Jill and Steve made us feel extremely welcome for our 2 night stay with them in their B&B. Never been to that part of Yorkshire before and Steve guided us to many places with his extensive knowledge of the area. The large conservatory is a fabulous setting to relax and look out over the dales with spectacular views The bedroom was amazing well equipped with loads of tea, coffee, hot chocolate with fresh milk and the most amazing home baked biscuits. Bed very comfortable. Towels lovely and fluffy breakfast was amazing and made to order and cooked to how requested it crispy bacon. Only a 25 min walk to the pub. Will certainly be returning. Oh and had a sneak peak at the holiday cottage - all you could ever want for a trip away even with a food hamper if requested

We stayed at Ashes farm as we were in the area to do the Ribblehead Viaduct walk. From arriving to leaving we were well looked after by Jill & Steve, such lovely, friendly, hospitable people. We stayed in room 1 which, although a bit on the small side it had everything you needed. The bed was on the firmer side which suited me as I’ve got back issues but my partner found it a little too firm but that’s just a personal preference and no slight on Ashes farm.I couldn’t leave a review without mentioning the breakfast.Wow, the breakfast is delicious and plentiful, and cooked to your liking with good quality produce. When in the area, we would definitely stay here again and would whole heartedly recommend Ashes farm. Thanks Jill & Steve. Lee & Mary.

Another wonderful stay at Ashes Farm! Visiting in winter to walk the peaks has became an annual tradition which this B&B is an integral part of. Some of the best service you can receive from a stay and a delicious breakfast too. Jill never fails to go the extra mile for us and clearly many other who stay here at Ashes. So much passion goes into this place so we consider ourselves very lucky to have found it and we are very excited to be visiting again later next year

We came to stay in the very beautiful Ingleborough View cottage. The cottage is well designed, had everything we needed and a delicious welcome pack was there on arrival. The owners were lovely, they gave advice on places to visit and places to eat. This cottage is ideal if you love walking and want to do the three peaks. Highly recommended

We should caveat this review with the fact that this was our first ever B&B experience and a lack of available hotels brought us here at very late notice in the lovely Yorkshire Dales. We weren’t sure we were B&B people and it turns out we’re not. The room itself was pleasant, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom adequate and very clean. The whole property was very well maintained, very clean and obviously well managed. We stayed in the main house and personally found it a little bit too like staying in someone’s home (which we appreciate is the gig). Being more used to a hotel environment this wasn’t really for us. The breakfast in the morning was served on time as requested and was a full English, perhaps the bacon was a little underdone but we do like it crispy.
