Just had an overnight stay here in the attic room .the room was spotless and adequate in size with lovely views from the windows wouldn't recommend the attic room for tall people as some parts of the roof are quite low but not an issue in my case.we were greeted by the owner on arrival and discussed the current covid regulations they have gone to great lengths to make everything safe a credit to them. Breakfast was excellent and set us up nicely for the day.there are parking spaces on site for guest too. A really friendly place to stay and will definitely book to stop there again

We stayed for two nights in the attic room, yes my husband had to mind his head, but it’s an attic room it’s what you expect. Very nicely set out and decorated views were amazing and room was very large.

Our little puppy (7mths) really enjoyed her stay, we feel she behaved well for a first time holiday and were pleasantly surprised by her calmness at breakfast.
Full English was very nice and my special request on first morning was remembered for second (beans in separate dish) which was nice.

The B&B had ample parking and was a 15min walk downhill to the town centre (we got a taxi back as puppy tired🤣 £6)

Loved the extra little touches such as poo bags in porch if you forget to bring yours down from room, dog towels for muddy/sandy paws

Would defiantly stay again and have and will recommend to friends and family.

About a 20 minute walk from the centre of Whitby, this family run B&B was a gem of a find.

Our accommodation was in The Attic room with beautiful views over the Esk Valley. The room was bright and airy.

Tea and coffee making facilities. Extremely comfortable bed and large, modern bathroom.

Lovely finishing touches. Rocking chair and fan in the spacious bedroom. Lovely fluffy towels to greet you from a fabulous shower.

It's a pleasant walk down to the town/harbour but we caught a taxi back (less than £6).

Lucy and Brian are attentive hosts. The whole place is spotlessly clean with a wonderful 'fresh linen' smell when you walk in. Lots of homely touches with family pics and little nick nacks (tasteful ones) here and there. We were able to park our car on the driveway.

Breakfast was first class. Everything cooked fresh - have been to other BBs where a full English appears in 2 minutes from ordering (yuk). Loose leaf tea! A real treat which inspired us to buy a teapot and strainer!

All in all, this really is a 'home from home' and we will definitely return.

Thank you Lucy and Brian for a lovely stay

Kath and Dave xx

This is a beautiful B&B with lovely hosts. The rooms benefit from a wonderful view and it is surprisingly quiet considering it is only a short walk to Whitby town centre. We stayed in room 1 which was clean, bright and very comfortable. The breakfast was also very tasty.

My daughter and I stayed last night with our dog. The bedroom was spacious, quiet, and well decorated with pretty views of the sheep field, the whole B&B was clean and well presented; the bed was super comfortable; the owner was friendly; and the breakfast was delicious. Can't recommend this place enough. Thank you for a delightful stay.

Would highly recommend staying at the Moor Edge b&b, perfect hosts, very friendly and attentive. Spotless place, cosy room with everything we needed. Comfy bed and very quiet room with a beautiful view. Stayed here as it was dog friendly, free parking and 10 minute walk from the harbour and centre of Whitby. Breakfast included which was exceptional. Loved the little touches (stick of rock and jar of biscuits in room) tea and coffee facilities in bedroom too. Would definitely come back.

Spent one night here whilst walking the Cleveland way. Easy access on A171 short walk into Whitby, parking on driveway or on street. Lucy & Brian are fabulous hosts. Messaged to invite us to drop our stuff of early. Flexible check in. We had the bedroom at the back of the house with views over the fields of sheep. Delicious home cooked breakfast with vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. Nice touches in the bedroom including biscuits on the hospitality tray. Travel sustainable measures in place to reduce single use plastic. Great nice sleep & wonderful shower after our walk. Would definitely book again if we were in the area.

Parking facilities off the main road. Hosts very welcoming and room was ready for check in although we had arrived half an hour earlier than expected. Room was lovely, modern and clean with a beautiful view and nice selection of refreshments (lovely biscuits!). Short, leisurely walk in to town, hosts had provided taxi details in case we did not fancy the walk back up the hill later (which was appreciated after a couple of drinks!) Fantastic sleep followed by a lovely breakfast that was catered to our specific needs. Could not fault this b&b. Would definitely recommend. Lovely house dog too.
