yes i agree with the comments that some areas need a makeover & i am sure Shearings already know about this but the fact is the hotel was full again 4th stay in 10 years tells you The Royal must be doing something right

Have to say that the food was not great as Suehugh says and I am unsure if the serving staff would be able to confirm that the food was prepared as a vegetarian/vegan would like ie separate from meat preparation if your food choice is from the perspective of the animal rather than dietary preference. My advice would be to contact the hotel and advise them of your needs before your break so that they can ensure that the kitchen staff are aware of your needs.
