Booked two rooms (myself and my mum) for two nights and went away afterwards wishing we had booked for longer! Jo and Danny are superb hosts. My room was spacious, smart and tidy - the bathroom was a little small but that was no bother. The bed was very comfortable and with normally being a 'bad' sleeper, the two nights of great sleep was very much welcomed. Plenty of coffee, water, crisps and biscuits were available. With the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, it's hard for any business at the moment but Jo and Danny have worked tirelessly to make sure everyone contributes to a safe and clean environment and they have put in great and robust procedures. There was a very good choice for breakfast - I opted for the toasted bagel and bacon which was absolutely delicious. Without doubt the best bacon I've ever tasted. Parking is available round the back but is limited. The Grove is also very well located - just a short walk into town and the railway station whilst the Cinder Track is also just a short walk away. Hopefully I'll be back in Whitby next year - this place will be the first place I look at!

Stayed for two nights but wish we would have booked a bigger room. It was very tight in the bathroom with no towel rail or shelf for toiletries. That said, everywhere was clean which is all we basically needed. Bottles of water, crisps and tea and coffee making facilities were a nice touch. The hosts were lovely and adhering to the covid rules. Five minutes walk to the town centre. Parking round the back of the hotel.

This was our first time to Whitby and we were so glad to find The Grove, Jo and Danny are super hosts and you can tell straight away when meeting them they work damn hard to make this place a great success. The house is lovely and the bedrooms are well maintained and very comfortable. Hand sanitisers were located on every floor and entrance. Masks to be worn by guests in the breakfast room. No self service as Jo looked after everyone. Danny cooked breakfast every morning and it was so good we found we didn't need to have any lunch. The sausages were brilliant as was the bacon! The location is great as it only takes a few minutes to walk into the town with all the Pubs and Restaurants you good think of. Jo was always there to give you local information and suggestions on where to go. Thank you Jo and Danny, looking forward to staying with you again.

We stayed at The Grove for two nights. What a lovely place. Good size room and exceptionally clean. Jo and Danny are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was brilliant well cooked and presented and only a couple of minutes walk into the town. Couldn’t fault it. Will definitely be going back.
