We stayed for one night in room 3, large room, nice bathroom a view looking down the main street and a view of the harbour, free coffees which will be made and taken to your room, breakfast in the room in the morning if required, the breakfast is very good. The service and quality of food and drinks are to...

We booked Room 1 for a one night getaway for my husband's birthday. Our first issue was finding the place; after driving 3 times around the one way system and a useless call to the hotel itself where we were told it was before the Magpie Cafe - which it was - so we looked closely at every building on...

We stayed in room 4, a very large room with a large bathroom with no shower but a large free standing bath in the middle. It had great views of the harbour and bay from both the bedroom and bathroom. The only down side is there was no shower, and the water pressure was low so the bath took a...

We first visited the Marine in October '16. We returned "mob handed" to celebrate my daughters 21st in April '17. We were not disappointed. Great food, both at dinner and breakfast, you have to try the Sirloin steak to start the day. At night the cocktails are pretty good too! On each visit the staff have been fantastic, my only...

We stayed in Room 3 on a Friday and Saturday night. The staff at the hotel couldn't have been more helpful and professional, the room was immaculate with great views, exactly as described on the hotel website. The full English breakfast was first class, tea and toast before the breakfast arrived, cereals/ yoghurts etc. also available if you fancy something...

We stayed overnight and spent most of the evening sat on the balcony of our lovely room. Comfortable room and then breakfast on our balcony with the stunning view and sunshine. Thank you. Must be the best view in Whitby.

We stayed in room four of which more later. The staff were splendid. efficient and cheerful. The breakfast has to be viewed in two parts. The cooked offering was probably the best we ever seen. Freshly prepared Kedgeree, Steak and eggs, Omelette Arnold Bennet, etc - utterly splendid. However for those not wanting cooked breakfast(not everyone wants steak for breakfast)...

We stayed in room five which is actually at the moon and sixpence a few doors down. We entered at the marine and it was no problem that we were actually at the wrong place! Very helpful and gave us a parking permit that you can use in many many parking bays as you drive along and up the hill,...

We stayed for one night in room 4. The hotel is ideally located and there is a side entrance to avoid walking through the restaurant as a resident. We were provided with a parking permit to park in a specific zone close by. The room was to a high standard of hygiene and decor as well as being larrge with...

Stayed two nights, would have been happy to extend our stay if we could. Lovely room, stayed in Room 1, comfortable and clean. Sun room and balcony gave us great views of Whitby. Ate in the restaurant on the first night, top notch food. Breakfast was wonderful and had an extensive menu. Lovely friendly staff. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
