The hosts Olivia and Chris were extremely welcoming, helpful and very friendly. Lovely studio with kitchenette and dining area and ensuite bathroom Very modern, stylish and spotlessly clean. We also had tea coffee milk and lovely biscuits in our room when we arrived (much appreciated) Close to beach and all local attractions. Great value for money Would highly recommend Made my birthday weekend very memorable thank you 🥰

Olivia was the most welcoming host I have met, prior to visiting she sent a list of recommendations for meals out, on arrival was there to great us. And also left us fresh milk and biscuits to go with the coffee and tea. The room was lovely, bathroom is ready for an update but was very clean. I would definitely visit again. Lovely host. 😊

We have been twice to the magnolia hotel, oliver and Chris are absolutely lovely and we instantly felt very welcome, the hotel is absolutely beautiful and maintained to a very high standard. modern facilities in a period property. We have stayed in two different rooms with kitchen facilities, one has a separate bedroom but they both are equally comfortable and we felt very spoilt, excellent shower, my favourite part of the room. Truly you get alot for your money. 5 mins walk to the beach ,same to town. We can't recommend this place enough, we have stayed in a few places over past 3 years and they don't come close to magnolia hotel, we look forward to returning in the future. Thankyou oliver and Chris for your hospitality.

Had a lovely Easter weekend break in Whitby staying at Magnolia guest house. We were greeted on our late arrival by Olivia who was just lovely, very friendly and very helpful with lots of info and great recommendations. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a lovely view of the Abbey from our large south facing window which also made our room bright and airy during the day. The room we stayed in had a kettle and fridge, tea, coffee and milk (and a few Easter goodies left for us to enjoy). The guest house is perfectly situated (in my opinion) just very slightly (5-10 minute walk) out of the hustle and bustle of town. The only issue really was parking but with a bit of patience we managed to get a space very close to the guest house (possibly not as difficult away from a bank holiday weekend). All in all a great weekend was had!

The location was fantastic. Everything was a few minutes away. The flat was lovely. Both Olivia and Chris were helpful and welcoming. Their recommendations of places to eat were great. We loved our stay there. If we visit Whitby again we will be staying there.

Me and my wife stayed here for bank holiday weekend in August 22. The room and bathroom were very clean. We had the studio so had a fridge, microwave, toaster as well as the usual kettle. Lovely touch to have fresh milk, tea coffee and biscuits left for us. Bed was very comfy and we slept really well. Parking worked well. We found a space nearby and Olivia gave us a pass for the days we were there. The place is situated to the north of the river, just above the whale bones so not ideal if you are not too mobile, but you don't have to use the steps as there are quick ways down to the town through the streets. All in all, a lovely weekend in a beautiful town.
