Enjoyed our stay, lovely room. Great staff, very friendly. Roaring fire in bar, great food and selection of drinks. Great location, quiet, relaxing Great place to relax after sea walk. Not far to walk into Whitby. Dog friendly.

We stayed just for 1 night in a family room no. 6. Massive room, well 2 rooms sort of as you entered there was a wardrobe, cot space and the bathroom, then into the main room double bed, single bed and a corner sofa. 2 big windows overlooking the golf course with Sandsend and the sea in the distance fantastic....

Unfortunately I am writing my first ever negative review but the events of our recent stay here warrant exactly that. We chose the White House and paid extra for room 8 for its advertised sea views. Although there were wonderful from the dining area, the opposite was true from our room, unless you were prepared to stand with your face...

Staff very friendly, we only stayed 1 night, but wouldn't hesitate to book for a longer break. The room was very nice and clean, warm and welcoming. Breakfast was lovely. The only negative for me was the bed, it creaked very loudly when you turned over (and I could hear next doors bed), it was a wooden one though !....

Stayed for 4 nights. The staff were fantastic. Food and drink was excellent. The bar staff in the evenings were great fun and made us so welcome. Room was perfect. It was worth paying a bit more for a balcony and a sea view. Would highly recommend.

I stayed in Whitby recently with a friend and we decided to walk up to the White House. If you have a hangover this walk can be rather bracing!. We were welcomed by the staff who were very engaging and well mannered. After a few pints we left but decided to return the next day for lunch. I chose the...

Visited for Sunday lunch with friends, had a wonderful table with an amazing view. The Sunday lunch was well cooked, a good selection of roasts but you don't have to have a traditional Sunday lunch. We didn't have room for dessert as there was so much food. The staff are lovely we will be going again.

This hotel is situated a mere (absolutely gorgeous) twenty minute into town. The hotel is situated on the edge of a golf course and virtually on the cliffs, providing for a magnificent all round vista. Bar and restaurant look good although I didnt try either.
