The Belfry is a beautiful Victorian home lovingly renovated and refurbished to the highest standard. We are proud to offer you modern and contemporary accommodation along with great value and friendly service. Our eight spacious guestroom's have either stunning views of St Hilda's church or Panoramic sea views. Each room has their own luxury en-suite, well stocked hospitality tray, LCD flat screen televisions & big comfortable beds. After a well-rested night's sleep, wake up to a hearty full English breakfast along with a wide choice of cereals, fruits and yogurts (vegetarian options/dietary requirements are also available on request). The Belfry is also equipped with a top of the range CCTV and fire alarm system. Wi-Fi is also available throughout the guesthouse.PARKINGThe West Cliff car park is located directly behind The Belfry, pay and display on street parking is available as is the Whitby Park and Ride scheme- located at the A171/B1460 junction (Across from Cross Butts Stable restaurant). The service will stop at West Cliff (where we are located), North Terrace, St Hilda's Terrace and the bus station before returning via North Terrace, West Cliff to the park and ride site.

This B&B was recommended to us and we weren’t disappointed. A beautifully comfortable B&B. Spotlessly clean and very cosy. Very near to lots of bars and restaurants. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Charming hosts. Very reasonably priced. A must to visit again.

Just back from a 2 night stay, everything excellent. Nice room, lovely breakfast with plenty of choice, situated on West Cliff so easy walk into centre of Whitby. Parking permit supplied for our stay. Would definitely return.

The room was lovely and had everything you need, clean & spacious and the breakfast was great. Well worth a stay there it was just a few minutes walk from the centre of Whitby and a big car park more or less outside where parking is free until 1st March 2024

Lovley clean room, everything you could need is available. Breakfast and quality of food is amazing. Lovley hosts and communication before arriving is fantastic. Will be back again for our 3rd stay soon.

Excellent B&B in a great location with great breakfast. Phil and Sophie were great hosts and also a festive touch with the wonderful Christmas tree on the landing.Room was lovely and clean with a nice comfy bed and the area the hotel was in was nice and quiet

2nd visit , can’t recommend it enough. Great hosts/staff . Spotlessly clean , super comfy bed/pillows , lovely breakfast , parking outside , easy key access , quiet location , but only 5 min walk to town centre . 3rd visit planned for 2024 !!!

This B&B is amazing!! Phil & Sophie are lovely hosts and you are made to feel very welcome- you can see they love what they do . The rooms provide excellent comfort & quality with views of the sea . The cooked breakfast is very tasty and they cater for any dietary need and go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and also offer a daily breakfast special alternative ( the pancake option was exceptional) . Whitby town centre is a short distance away, so is an ideal location for local pubs, shops and restaurants. There is also plenty of parking ( with a permit which they provide),so once we parked our car we didn’t need to use it again because we could walk. The beach is also very close and provides a lovely walk to Sandsend along the coastal front. We would highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to visit again soon .…

Just had a couple of nights at the Belfry and what value for money. The Belfry is so much more than just a B & B. Sophie & Phil are so welcoming and the children make it feel like a lovely family home. The whole place is spotlessly clean with tasteful decor and the bed soooo comfy! The breakfast options and quality are 5 star hotel standard - we can't wait to return!

We had such a wonderful stay at The Belfry. Our room was really comfortable and so clean. Tea making facilities are spot on. Yorkshire Tea plus Clipper coffee/hot chocolate and Border biscuits…. Lush… Shower was lovely and hot, with quality Body/hair wash and conditioner in large pumps, so no plastic waste. The breakfast was 10/10, so delicious and piping hot. Sophie and Phill as hosts are wonderful and so friendly. Highly recommend staying here. Right in the centre of it all. Would definitely stay again. Whitby, thank you, you were amazing! Lisa & Steve
