Had 2 nights here. Weather was foul but didn't spoil our stay in this lovely hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is in a beautiful position close to Whitby and other sight seeing spots. Evening meal offer was a bargain at £25.95 for 2 for a 3 course meal and was delicious. Would definitely return.

I went here for a one night stay with my partner. The inattentive, slightly rude receptionist was pretty much a sign of things to come with staff - no 'welcome' or 'how was your journey' simply a 'sign this form' here is your key your room is down there, she merely pointed at a corridor and didn't guide us any...

We have just got back from a one night stay (Saturday/Sunday). To start the summary off, the weather was horrendous. It was freezing cold with rain/sleet and a strong easterly wind (from Siberia I would guess) We were just waiting for the locusts. Anyway, we got there about 2pm. The drive on the way there was pretty straight forward however...

Lovely peaceful location near Sandsend. Tranquil and relaxing with first class food and I have to say the cheescake for dessert was the best I have ever had. We would stay here again and recommend this unique hotel to friends and family as set in lovely grounds and staff are brilliant. The perfect getaway for a short or long stay...

Great location, very busy on arrival but food and service good and excellent value. After a long walk on the moors and beach the Sunday lunch option was most welcome. The beef was lovely and tender and the chocolate brownies to die for.

Our second stay here. 2 nights. 11 people. Food was A1 atmosphere in the bar was good. Rooms were superb. Staff very helpful. They gave us the private dining room, which sounds very posh, but because we were 11 they wanted us to all eat at the same table. What a thoughtful touch. We Will definitely stay there again
