We have just returned from a one night stay at J Louisa, what a lovely B&B - spotlessly clean, quiet and a brilliant place to stay. Jackie is truly a wonderful host, felt like you have known her for years, breakfast was exceptional with as much choice as a large hotel. The B&B is within walking distance (15 – 20... More

Very nice B&B in Whitby - about 20 minutes walk from the harbour and town centre. Our room was a bit on the small side, but spotlessly clean. The owner is very friendly and helpful and cooked a lovely breakfast each morning. Good value for money break - near to the National Park.

I stayed with Jackie at the J Louisa guest house for 2 days in July and had a thoroughly good time. The house itself is lovely for a small b&b with 3 guest rooms. There's a consistent monochrome theme throughout the house, which is spotlessly clean, which i really liked. There is also a lounge to relax in and a... More

The first thing I did was use Google Maps to locate the place, big mistake, the map photo was taken before J Louisa bought the house, so it was with a little trepidation that we set off to Whitby. As we pulled on to the drive we all said, "Wow, the front garden and house looked brilliant" There was Jackie... More

Where do I start! Not far from town, and free easy off road parking, Jackie texted us to check what time we were arriving and ensured room was ready earlier than normal for us, a very warm welcome in a beautiful, well decorated and immaculately presented house, deep plush carpets throughout and a lovely guests lounge. We booked the superior... More

An impromptu weekend away. Booked on the Friday morning for two nights. Everything was excellent. The room, the service. Having a sitting room to relax in after a day out. Would I return yes. It was like being home from home with added benefits. Thank you Jackie.

A great B&B ran by a lady that aims to please. It's a normal house, even a sitting room downstairs and a garden to relax in after long days out. The rooms where spotless and well equipped. The bed was comfy and the shower powerful. The breakfast in the morning sets you up for the day. Thanks for a lovely... More
