We have stayed at many properties in Whitby over the years, and this one has been a great experience. The staff are friendly, and our four poster room was enormous. I would suggest you bypass the other eateries in the town as the value and quality of their food was good.

This was our second visit to Bagdale Hall but our first stay in the hall itself having previously stayed in the annex. The building has lots of history and character and the four poster bed in our room only added to this. The staff (including the housekeeping staff) were all very polite and courteous and very keen to ensure our...

Faultless! Wow what a fantastic hotel steeped in history. We stayed in the main hall and our room was superb. It took us by surprise on entering, four poster bed with seating area everything and more you could need as extras. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the young man Chris checked us in efficiently and the lady serving...

Stay at Bagdale at least once a year always in the Hall. Great rooms very clean and tidy. Breakfast is excellent to set you up for a nice day in Whitby. Mike and Alison (Managers) are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Queen sized bed, leather sofa and chairs and enough room to have a party. Certainly felt like a queen. Took advantage of the buy one night, get one free. Staff...

Stayed in the main old part, 4 poster and a very comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Restaurant closed (just after Christmas ) but loads of places for good food just down the road. Staff here are very good.

After enjoying several morning coffees and an anniversary dinner here we took the plunge and booked a two nights for the price of one break. Not at all disappointed. Room 1 was very comfortable, with every appointment needed. The room is huge, with 4 poster bed, settee and armchair. There is a huge fireplace, not in use anymore, a desk...
