Just got back from a week staying in the cottage at number seven guest house. Absolutely brilliant. The cottage is spotless and couldn’t be in a better position with its
Own parking which saves at least £50 for
Monday to Friday stays. Fabulous hosts rich and jo. Will definately be back

Stayed here for 2 nights. Stayed in the single room. Okay so it is a little on the small side but its just for 1 person. Bathroom was fine, shower was good. Bed was comfortable and all tv channels worked. Very clean hotel with wonderful staff. Richard and his wife are very welcoming and i would have no hesitation in going back there again. The breakfasts are superb and all in with the price. Richard did me a better deal than booking.com so always best to give him a call first. Parking permit included! They run this place very well and are always around to have a chat with. The location is exeptional with it being up on the west cliff looking down onto the harbour. The single rooms dont have the view but you can look on thier website for the rooms as it gives you all the details. Overall a brilliant stay here and i would recomend this with 5 stars. Thank you both for looking after me. Hope to see you again soon.

We stayed for one night only, and from booking until check out Richard was so helpful. Situated on East Crescent, a row of really well kept and welcoming hotels, with fantastic views over the Abbey from the Breakfast Room.
We stayed in Room Number 3, at the rear of the property as there were no sea views left. This was very spacious and had everything we required - including a great selection of teas, coffees, biscuits and a nice touch a large jug of cold water and beautiful glasses - not the usual plastic cups!
Breakfast was varied, we chose the full English which was of high quality and one of the best we've had in a guest house.
Rooms and all areas spotlessly clean.
Will definitely be returning and also recommending to friends.
Well done Richard and Joanne!!

What a great cottage! The place was spotlessly clean but also welcoming. There was a selection of goodies on arrival from the basics like bread and milk to the luxuries like biscuits and wine - all very much appreciated!
The cottage is decorated in a modern and classy way with all the furniture and fixtures looking new or very well looked after.
Having parking in Whitby, right by the property is a fab added extra and super handy, as well as like gold dust!
Within a few minutes walk of the promenade and only a few minutes more to get to the harbour and all the good stuff in Whitby, location is another plus point for this little gem.
I can’t find any faults with this place. Well worth booking in. We will be back, if they can get us out of here in the first place! ;)

Number Seven is set in a small picturesque crescent overlooking Whitby Harbour. This was to be our stopover in Whitby whilst walking the Cleveland Way. We were a group of four. The guest house was spotlessly clean as were the rooms. The rooms were tastefully decorated with modern bathrooms as well as tea and coffee making facilities. The beds were excellent. Breakfast is in a lovely room downstairs overlooking the crescent with a choice of “Full Yorkshire “ or continental. We were also provided with a very good pack lunch for the next stage of the Cleveland Way to Robin Hoods Bay. We all enjoyed stay here and a big thankyou Richard and Joanne who are excellent hosts. Parking can be arranged.

Oh I love love love this guest house! Arrived on the Thursday afternoon with texted instructions on how to gain access and which room was ours which was all so simple. There was a parking permit there for us which we bobbed in the car so no worries about parking at all. The guest house is set in such a perfect place, just a short walk down to the front. We dropped our things then went out, had a lovely evening & night. Up for a tasty cooked breakfast at 8.30am then out for the day again on the Friday.
Our hosts Richard & Jo were just lovely, so friendly & welcoming with a great sense of humour. Richard produced Jo to prove she exists when I said I hadn’t actually seen her. They clearly work very hard to keep this property up to such a high standard and you can see a lot goes on behind the scenes. We were sad to leave on the Saturday morning but we will be back. Thank you for making our stay such a great one and we will see you soon

Just returned from a lovely stay at no7 in Whitby.
Richard and joanne were great hosts and left us to our own during our 3 night stay.

We had room 6 with a great view over the Harbour and sea. All facilities fine and shower gels provided. Tea and coffee replenished from a tray downstairs.

Parking was free and a pass was ready on the bed on arrival which is a great gesture as parking is a premium in Whitby.

Breakfasts were great but we were on 2nd sitting 9.15am which we found late. Cereals are served in glass jars which was strange as some screw on caps were rusty, don't think it needs the jars. Full English everyday set us up. My wife was Dairy free and accommodate her needs very well thanks🤗

We walked both days 8 miles from the guest house to Robin hoods bay and caught x93 back £4.30 every half hour, which is a great walk and even better finishing with a beer in the Bay pub.

We walked to Runswick bay the next day, same distance but a lot flatter after some steep steps from Sandsend, and again finished in the pub.

Whitby Brewery was nice opp the Abbey, but 199 steps to get your beer😱, very busy in Whitby with your usual too many fish n chip shops spoiling it.

Enjoyed a lovely stay at No 7, very welcoming hosts and quickly shown to a clean, warm and comfortable room. Parking no problem (call in at the guest house first to collect your free on road parking permit for the duration of your stay). Superb views of the abbey, sea and town. Breakfast was excellent and very good quality with steaming hot tea or coffee. Would definitely recommend.
