Very well presented, clean and comfortable, loads of hot water, bed was so huge feared we might get lost in it. Breakfast was excellent, just the right amount so no waste. Owner helpful with attractions and transport timings. Will return

The staff were friendly. Gave advice on thw trains which pass behind the building. There is parking to the front and rear of the building. Easy access to Whitby. 10 mimute drive away. There wasnt any central heating in the rooms. It was broken when we enquired. This made the room chilly in the night. The carton milks were off in the...

ideally situated for Whitby, with easy free parking, and good transport links to Whitby. Accommodation good and reasonably priced, breakfast tasty and well cooked. Landlord very helpful, and informative. Parking in Whitby is a nightmare, so i suggest if you are able bodied, you use bus to and from Whitby. Pleasant entertainment Saturday night.

Spacious rooms, friendly and helpful staff and great location. Old fashioned in some respects but this added to the charm. The train which passes at the bottom of the garden (sometimes steam train) is a bonus as it gets you to Whitby in grand style.

We were looking for somewhere for one night on our return from Alnwick as we wanted to spend a day in Whitby. Read the website and thought it would be a nice place to stay. Went in looked at two rooms and promptly left rapidly. I think the website for this place is really misleading.

Staff very friendly but that was the only good point of the stay. Room was very dated and headboard really dirty. Breakfast was was inedible with the bacon that hard I could sole my shoe only brown cold toast need I go on. In all a bad experience for the amount that is charged

We have returned here today especially for the lunch, it is excellent. The meat is really well cooked and very tender. There may not be too many choices but what they have is a traditional Sunday roast with all the trimmings and is good value. The property is stuck in a 60`s timewarp but what else would you expect when...

Our three day stay at Salmon Leap were quite enjoyable. The owner was quite helpful when we needed help with directions or suggestions. The breakfasts were delicious, as were the dinners that were available. This hotel is in a lovely small town that is quiet and lovely and was a wonderful find.

This is a nice hotel a bit dated and no TV in the rooms but there is a TV lounge. There is free internet but I could not access it in my room but I could in the bar downstairs. It's a nice pub and hotel Adrian was very nice and could not do enough for us. There is always...
