stayed here a few times now, just a short walk from the train station and a stroll to the shops, bars and all the attractions. basic accommodation but as you would expect for the price, if like us you just need a basic place to sleep then it will suit you fine.

Very basic accommodation offered and for the price not to far from what I expected. The pub is within walking distance to Yorkminster and shops etc. The room and en suite were clean, with the tea and coffee pack only enough for one cup. So we were disappointed when no cleaner came in after our first night to replenish this,... More

the rooms were very basic which I expected at the price but I felt the rooms could have been cleaner, there was a smell in the bathroom that came and went and yes the plumbing was very noisy. The bar itself was ok for q drink before you headed out at night for a meal and a drink. The hotel... More

This hotel needs some serious TLC. I stayed here for 2 nights and was quite embarrassed that the hotel was actually taking money for room provided. It was very outdated and needed a good clean. There were bulbs out in some rooms and wallpaper peeling away from the walls. I even went to the local sainsburys and purchased a bottle... More

Badly needs updating , we were on the top floor with no lift so if your not able to do stairs it won't be suitable for you , rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels , nice friendly staff and cheap for central York . No breakfast available , parking cost £36 for 3 days .

Basic but clean and the price was very good. The location is excellent, close to the Minster. Doesn't serve breakfast but there is a very good cafe next door that does a great full English or lighter meals and delicious coffee. You are given a key to a door that opens from the street to the stairs to the rooms... More

Just back from 2 nights and I would like to start by saying I don't give bad reviews lightly (I always read these type of reviews thinking the person loves a good moan). Firstly, the staff can't be faulted, they are very friendly and helpful. However, we only met someone when checking in and having a few drinks. There was... More
