Very good for the price with lovely staff. The room was nice and clean. We arrived a little early but we were allowed to check in to our room because it was already ready. It’s in a brilliant location if you don’t have mobility issues as you can easily walk to all the shops, attractions and restaurants. When I asked about the free parking I was immediately told it was allow until 5pm the next day despite checkout being 12. This meant we had plenty of time to walk into town and be back to leave for home.

This Travelodge has had a revamp and it is very clean and fresh. Comfy beds and clean washroom facilities. Would 100% stay here again because of how clean it is and just a 10-15 min walk in to York. Also free parking for residents which is a bonus. Friendly helpful staff.

An excellent stay at the recently refurbished hotel. The hotel is well located and had plenty of free parking available. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk away to the centre of town. All of the staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were regularly replenished. No complaints from me and I felt it was good value for money

Well placed to walk into the old centre of York. Parking could be a problem as it’s on a first come first served allocation. Fortunately there is parking within walking distance, particularly recommend Sainsburys at Foss Bank. Would recommend spending £10 on early checkin as you’re so close to the Minster etc you can spend more of your time sightseeing

An excellent visit and the first time at an upgraded Travelodge. Fresh bright decor with great ambiance. Memorable staff, especially the lady from Lithuania and Bella on breakfast. Both excellent food offering for breakfast and evening meals. Although personally would liked to have seen a steak or fish on the menu with more salad items. (Healthy options). Great priced though. Rooms nicely decorated with many welcomed upgrades. Not a criticism, more a request. Rooms smaller than competitors in general. But without fail a return will be planned in the future.

The hotel staff are very polite and helpful. The position of the hotel was very convenient for walking into York city centre. We arrived early and was able to park our car and on checkout day we were able to park until 5pm.

£158 for one small room for one night. Hotel is being refurbished. Our room was very new/clean although the air-con unit was whistling which made it unusable as the room got quite warm. The Hotel cafe is closed for refurbishement which is why I think this Hotel is currently over priced. Fortunately there is a Costa Coffee shop next to the building. Free parking is also a bonus up until 5pm on checkout day. Uber taxis were not bad £4-5 into town. I would use this Hotel again but only if I got a discount price

Stayed here last weekend and they had just finished the refurbishments to the dining and bar area and it looks good. Nice hotel about a 15 minute walk to shambles ect. Our room was nice and clean but could hear the traffic noise in the morning. Breakfast was decent value for £9.75 everything we wanted apart from fried eggs. Staff were polite and friendly and the duty manager took her time to ask us if we enjoyed our breakfast and liked the new facilities. Free parking also Would definitely stay again .

Really lovely location which is close enough to enjoy the wall walk into the town centre but not too close that it's quite noisy and central. The team and their customer service were absolutely great, our room and bathroom were clean and we had a really fab trip to York!

Lovely staff and hotel. Its walking distance to the centre of York and the added bonus of a car park in York makes it an ideal choice. The rooms were clean and modern. I would definitely visit this hotel again.
