We took our daughter to York for her birthday and stayed here for the night. Brilliant room great breakfast and Karolina on the front desk was very friendly cheerful and helpful. We will be back again. Thank you
Staff were very helpful one of our favourite hotels up to now were going back next week, nice an quite and nice breakfast staff were pleasant and the rooms were OK comfy bed to cant complain at that price
My husband and I stayed here for the weekend. Although the hotel is not in the city centre of York, it is very close to the Park & Ride. It costs only £3.20 return pp for this and we found this to be great. It drops right in the city centre. The hotel itself is very clean and the staff are great. However, the bed we had was very uncomfortable and had "roll together". the mattress was that bad that during I night I had to get out the sofa bed and ring down for another duvet at 12.30 at night (which they obliged). The hotel is very quiet and though on a main road you cannot hear traffic. The breakfast itself was good. If you want an evening meal, the hotel itself does not accommodate this though next door is a Toby Carvery. Also, our window in the bedroom was broken as it would not close!…
Staff friendly and helpful. We had a very comfortable and quiet room on the ground floor. Room was always cleaned as you would expect house keeping was very good. Breakfast was a buffet type with bacon sausages beans and scrambled eggs to choose from and many extras. The staff member how was on duty every day we were there was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Yorkshire.…
I stayed here with my partner over a busy bank holiday weekend. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were and very clean. All of the staff were so helpful and kind, nothing was too big of an issue. The breakfast included in our stay was really nice and tasty, it stopped at 11am but staff were continuing to add fresh bread, hot sausages, egg etc right up to 11. Taxi needed in to York but the hotel have a deal with taxis for £8. I have read complaints about the heat however there is fans in the room and there was a note in our room to say the windows do open but can be tricky so to ask for staff assistance. I would definitely recommend staying here and for things to do if you have a car Id recommend Xscape and Askham Bryan Wildlife Park!…
