Just stayed for one night, everytime someone got up in the night you heard about it, you could hear noises running through the water system . The breakfast was cold, my fried bread was not even fried on the one side and the coffee had no taste. There is no parking you have to hope you find somewhere on the...

So happy to return here after not being able to visit since 2014. We enjoyed the usual highlights of coffee on arrival and the four course evening menu. When we left we accidentally left some of our clothes behind and the staff were very kind to post them back to us when we got home. We will definitely be returning...

Back from a 3 night stay here, we were a family of 4. We booked 2 rooms and we're happy to be given our rooms next to each other as requested. Our rooms were on the top floor, no lifts but stairs were not a problem for us. Rooms were clean and very comfortable, the shower wasn't very powerful but...

Stayed one night for a night out in York. Great location at a reasonable price within walking distance (15minutes) to centre. Rooms clean and amenities ample. Staff very attentive and welcoming, no room left on the car park so the manager moved his car so we could park outside his house at the back of the hotel. Nice little bar...

Just had a two night stay here, the hotel is located about 15 minutes walk from the centre of York, off the main road, so it was fairly quiet, the only noise being guests returning from a night out. We had a room on the top floor, guests with mobility problems should request a ground floor room as there is...

Stayed for two nights, staff very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Food very good, good breakfast, cereals, fruit juices, fresh fruit, full English or other choices. Had evening meal one night, again food very good. Rooms clean and recently refurbished and ours was nice size, quite quirky as hotel consists of six houses joined together, so different staircases....

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at Wheatlands Lodge. The location is really good - 10 min walk from train station and close to the bottom of Micklegate. There are amenities close by, including supermarkets, restaurants and a lovely little cinema. Check in was really quick. We arrived a little before 2pm but our room was ready....

Clean hotel, lovely staff, only issue I had was parking as the car park was full due to builders and workmen taking up room. Had to walk and find a street to park on, Lovely location and inside was just as lovely,
