Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A great find for our stay in York, super walkable into the town! We had two nights booked and ended up staying another night as we loved York so much! No parking onsite but we did park along the road, which we had to pay for but it wasn't an issue. Rooms were lovely, our bathroom was located along the hall but was only for us to use so that wasn't a problem. Great communication from the hotel too on check in and out. Would stay here again!

Roger the owner was very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely room with an en-suite, with a bath. The whole house was very clean and tidy. The weather was good when we were there so we were able to sit and have a cup of tea in the flower filled garden. This accommodation was perfect for our 2 night stay in York. Walking distance was fine for us but there was a bus stop close if needed. Lots of places to eat nearby and a Tesco and co op close.

Room Tip: Bathroom was separate from our room so take a robe with you for when you get out of the shower....

We had an incredible two night stay, our room was stunning and very clean. The guest house itself is beautifully decorated and clearly well looked after. Jack was really polite and helpful. It's about a 15 minute stroll to the centre, along a main road so you can't get lost! The car park is up the road about 2 minutes away, we paid £17 for 3 days, which was a pleasant surprise. The only reason i've not given 5 stars is because the bed was really uncomfortable, all 4 pillows were really lumpy, the mattress was too soft and gave me a bad back, and I had a sore neck from the pillows!!

We stayed for two nights whilst in York for our daughter's hen party events over the weekend. Our room was lovely, with a comfy bed, nice bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities. It's in a great location for walking into York city centre, withe lovely front garden with seating.

Bed was excellent. Room was spot on - matched the picture perfectly, this manages expectations. Very quiet in the property - didn't come across any other guests, quiet also at night. Hallway was impressive and pleasant garden area. Bathroom window didn't stay open and door was a bit jammy. No toiletries provided e.g. shower gel. Towels were on the small side. Could top up tea/coffee/biscuits daily.

We had the most amazing stay at Blenheim Guest House! The room was perfect; the bed was comfortable, the bathroom facilities and room storage were great and very clean. The decor was brilliant. The Guest House is a 10 minute walk from the city centre and yet the nights and mornings were quiet and lovely. Best of all was the host, Roger, who made us feel so welcome and accommodated for all our needs. We can't wait to stay here again!
