We ate outside in a delightful beer garden opposite the river Ouse. The traditional pub grub was a sheer delight and the waitress that seved us couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Teriffic value for money. Highly recommended.

Six of us went for Sunday lunch the meat was lovely and tender but the veg was very limited and bland,there was only a choice of 3veg which was disappointing as u expect a much larger choice on a variety.also the food was not hot just warm. 3 of us had dessert I shared profiteers with my mum,the appearance was...

After cycling the short distance from Naburn Lock, we stopped here for lunch. We both had the cheese and onion bloomer and it came with plenty of crisps and a lovely side salad. We were all looking forward 2 our Sunday lunch but were sadly disappointed, not value for money. The portion sizes were small, not enough for me even though I only eat small portions anyway. The yorkshire pudding, pork & gravy were not too bad. The beef was okay as well. However the vegetables were mixed together in a dish and...

Having visited this pub last weekend, I feel I have to disagree with some of the previous comments that have been made. We visited for the first time on Friday, as we were staying on the near by camp site, we understood that it is under new ownership, and have to stay that the staff could have not be more...
