Booked a room at Blossoms York for an overnight stay with family in between Christmas shopping in York town. First impressions of the place were okay - we had seen the reviews just before arriving and it's fair to say we were dreading what we may see- the place was no where near as bad as some, no bed bugs...

Very disappointing - looking at the website pictures on the train on the way there the rooms looked marvellous - what a shocker when we got inside the rooms - slime around the runners of the shower which you wouldn't have been able to use anyway as the door was hanging off and which the manager couldn't repair- deep grime...

My friend and I stayed here on November 29th. We had a warm and cosy room with our own shower and toilet. The beds were very very comfortable and the bedlinen seemed new. There was plenty of tea and coffee plus biscuits provided in the room. The dining room is attractive and spacious. We chose the light breakfast option and...

Stayed in family room. Room was dated and quite dirty. Single bed was just wooden slats with a thin mattress. Heating not working. Stools in the room were absolutely filthy. Smelt of old cigarette smoke throughout the building. Seems like only one member of staff works at a time although they did try to be as helpful as possible. Car...

The shower was very clean as were the towels. Plenty of tea and coffee on offer, with biscuits which was pleasant. The only down side was that...

We only had the time to spend one night in York and booked quite late. Our room was very basic but we only paid £71. which is very reasonable. We intended getting a cab from York station but the queue was so long that in the end we walked as Blossoms is only 10 minutes walk from the station and...

OK , it's budget accommodation but you aren't paying Dorchester/Ritz prices...It has a great location on the A19 just out of town...Out the front door turn left and it's a 10 minute walk to the centre , the Minster or the Rail Station.. Free car parking is behind the hotel...We had a room in the annex at the rear and...

Convenient location short walk to to city centre & rail station. Good facilities. Check on availability of parking. Don't miss the Shambles! Advise of your group configuration. Negative - Mattresses should be updated
