We booked a room at The Roman Bath for one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We only live a few miles away but wanted to have a night out in York without having to get the last train home and as I have mobility problems we wanted somewhere central so I didn't have to walk too far. You pretty...

I went here with my daughter for lunch late in August. The food was absolutely disgusting, I had roast beef dinner which was microwaved and gross. They had put the gravy on before microwaving so it had all scabbed to the plate, one roastie, frozen Yorkshire, dry beef and a spoon of carrot/cauli. I would be thoroughly shocked if it...

Cosy, clean and spacious bedrooms smack bang in the centre of York, what more could you want?! Pub grub was good and drinks well priced. The Roman Bath museum underneath the pub is fascinating for both adults and kids, we really enjoyed it. Would definitely return next time we need somewhere to stay in the city centre.

Fantastic little pub/bnb. Location is great right in the centre of York. Rooms were very clean and kept tidy. The bar had a great selection of beers and the kids as well as the adults really enjoyed the museum under the bar. The food was standard pub food done very well and was obviously fresh. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I visited York for 3 nights with our 12 year old son. We had much planned and one of those things was to see a band on the Sunday night at The Roman Baths. We had been here a few years ago and watched a band and had a relatively nice time. My husband is in a...

We visited while on holiday to York. They seem to have separate prices for tourists and locals, and definitely tried to overcharge our party of 4. Looked a nice place too but the food was at best bearable.

We have visited a number of times and the meals have have always been tasty hot and good value. This is a convenient place to eat whilst shopping or site seeing. The surroundings are cosy and comfortable and the staff are friendly and efficient. We will definately be visiting again.

The rooms are basic and could do with a makeover. However if you're looking for a place just to get the head down, then this city centre location fits the bill. Be warned though it can be very noisy outside as the windows are only single glazed and on one of the two nights I stayed there, a crowd of...

We visited during the food & drink festival so everywhere was busy. We managed to find a table here and had toasties & kids meals, all of which were fine and decent value for money. Would recommend if you're struggling to find anywhere else.

The only thing that I could complain about was the size of the bathroom it is really tiny. Overall a lovely place to stay in...
