No. 21 York is a multi award winning Bed & Breakfast, offering a choice of seven clean & comfortable rooms, a warm and homely welcome as well as a great Yorkshire breakfast - all within a stone's throw of York City Centre. Built circa 1890, the B&B is a Victorian Terrace that has a history of offering accommodation and breakfast to guests since 1966, we will continue in this tradition of offering homely hospitality in some of the finest bed and breakfast accommodation in York. Our ethos is that we support our local & we are fiercely proud of our local Yorkshire produce, supplies & furnishings. Where possible, everything we do is a celebration of York and Yorkshire. York happened to us by happy coincidence & we love York and the surrounding countryside and it's a pleasure for us to share our "local" knowledge of what's on offer in our amazing city and - as it is fondly known - "God's own county" as well as how to get around & about. We look forward to welcoming you to our home & hope to see you sometime soon.

Really enjoyed our stay at No21. Simon & Andrea were excellent hosts. Great location, quiet, near the river with easy access to all the sites in York. Our room was lovely with delicious homemade biscuits and a fridge in the room for milk and water. Superb breakfast - nothing was too much trouble. We had been sent recommendations for restaurants before arrival which enabled us to book prior to our visit. As we booked direct, free parking was a bonus. Definitely the best B&B we have stayed in and hope to return in the near future.

The place is a beautiful terrace house and our room is on the ground floor accessed by a few stone steps. Beautifully appointed with everything you need and spotlessly clean. Our hosts are amazing, incredibly helpful from start to finish. The breakfasts are amazing and don't forget to go home with one of their home baked sour dough breads! This is our second stay after our son recommended it and we will be back next year. Walking distance to York centre either through the museum gardens or long the river.

This B & B is a gem of a place. The owners Simon & Andrea were wonderful hosts from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Nothing was too much trouble. Our bedroom was upgraded & a bottle of prosecco was waiting in the room as it was our 28th wedding anniversary. Such a lovely touch. The location of the B & B was perfect. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Simon and Andrea for a wonderful couple of days.

Andrea and Simon are the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble, we had to try the massive Yorkshire breakfast and weren’t disappointed, everything was lovely and clean, the best B/B we have used, Simon has a good knowledge of York and we made good use of this with lots of questions and had good advice, York is a beautiful city and we enjoyed our time there, walking in to the centre only takes 10 minutes and one can only imagine what the Victorian horse and carriage era used to be like. Hop on hop off is a must, the castle museum and the railway museum need plenty of time to see all the delights they have to offer. We found the smaller lesser known restaurants better to eat in, being cheaper and dare I say better food. Altogether a lovely stay in a beautiful city Joyce and Norman

Very comfortable room with fridge, bathrobes, slippers and homemade biscuits as well as the usual expectations. Simon and Andrea are very welcoming friendly hosts who park your car for you behind the property after unloading your luggage. Breakfast choices and quality are truly excellent and welcomingly just a bit different. You won't go hungry! Location great as close to the lovely Museum Gardens and Riverside walks and only 10 minutes walk to Minster. Once you have parked your car you can forget about using it. Also noticed that railway station is walkable on a designated path and will probably use that means of transport next time as a result! (So much to see in York it is worth several visits.) Best of all when they say dog friendly it really does mean dog friendly as you can book a doggy package for your pooch with a generous welcome pack, bed and bowls and up to 3 hours dog sitting (useful for the museums-even some of the best restaurants in York take dogs including The Star Inn in the City and The Judges Lodging which are both walkable ). Bertie the dog says his individual breakfast sausages enjoyed in the breakfast room were top notch! He also particularly liked the dried fishy treats, chewy bone, and biscuits in the welcome pack and we appreciated the welcome letter from the resident dog (sadly not seen) pointing out the convenient walks. No hesitation in recommending highly. You may pay a little more but its worth it.

Hi Alison & Bertie Thank you so much for your very kind words & wonderful review. We are delighted that you enjoyed our home, hospitality, breakfast offerings & location so much & that Bertie loved his morning sausage too. We chose this property out of all those we looked at for it's location & parking, after many hours & days of hard work we have created something that we are proud of and love sharing our home with our guests - the four legged ones too. Our Doggy Daycare Package is available via our website and we are thrilled to hear that you found it useful and worthwhile, Andrea loved looking after Bertie. York is a very Dog friendly city with many of the pubs and restaurants having areas where you are welcome to bring your four legged friend, most of the shops are happy for you to take your pooch with you too. Thanks for the recommendations & we look forward to having you come and stay again soon. Simon, Andrea & Nate
