Nothing was too much trouble, the owners were lovely, friendly with a good sense of humour and the room we stayed in (no.3) was stunning! There was a varied choice for breakfast and the food tasted great.... More

What is not to like about this place situated about 25 minutes from town in quiet cul-de-sac. The owners are really accommodating to all your needs. Breakfast superb that sets you up for the day. Will be back.

The St. George is a clean, pleasant, well-run place in an impressive residential neighborhood a moderate walk south of the center of York. There is also city bus service. Our hosts (and their cat) made us glad that we had booked. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed at St. George's on the 8th of August for 3 nights, the owners were lovely and welcoming. When we arrived we found a space to park around the back of the hotel. We were given the room on the ground floor which was very clean and tidy. The bed was very comfortable and the surrounding area was very quiet... More
