Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We stayed at Wolds edge in the tree house, this was absolutely beautiful, we loved our stay. Inside the treehouse it had everything you needed and some really lovely touches, bottle of prosecco, little cakes, some dressing gowns and slippers to make gettin out the hot tub less chillier. The bed was lovely and comfy and having the electric fire was a treat and warmed the treehouse perfectly. Pocklington was 10 minutes away which is a lovely little town and we went to york for a spot of lunch which took us around 30 minutes. I think the only downside to the stay was the 9am check out, this made the end of our stay a rush which meant there was no chance for a little go in the hot tub (unless you got up at 7.30am- on a sunday) because u had to be packed and out. All in all this stay was lovely. Thank you. ❤️

We recently stayed in the tree house and loved it. We received a very warm welcome, and the tree house was lovely to stay in, very peaceful. We had ordered breakfast but there were other items left for us including prosseco and biscuits which we had not been expecting, but much appreciated. The village itself is really pretty and everyone we passed wished us a good morning. Lots of walks to choose from and a pub to have lunch/evening meal in which we enjoyed. We will definitely book again.

What a lovely time we had. We slept so well and felt fully refreshed. The lodge was beautifully prepared, with thoughtful additions. What a lovely tranquil place to spend some special time. I was particularly impressed with the information book which was very well laid out and included some thoughtful additions to stays I have had elsewhere. The lodge was spotlessly clean and the hot tub and big bath a real treat. Thank you.

I spent a fabulous week at the kingfisher lodge with my dog. It was a perfect location as didn’t take long to get into York by car and also on the doorstep there are plenty of walks to explore. The lodge is immaculate, very cosy and comfortable. There is a little stream running alongside which is beautiful. All in all, I highly recommend.

This break was perfect, the lodges were perfectly clean and the hosts were amazing, the bath in the room was the standout feature not to mention the hot tub and the amazing views. You really need to try these lodges out we will 100% be going back. 10/10 the best lodges we’ve ever stayed in.

We stayed In Lilly lodge. Wow, What an amazing place, Absolutely fantastic. Clean, spacious, luxurious, I can’t say enough. So we’ve booked it again for next year, and for a longer stay it was that good. I don’t think I’ve ever done that before anywhere. Well done Ruth👍

Wolds Edge is an absolute must stay in a quiet relaxing area. We stayed in between Christmas and New Year in Honeydale Lodge which was amazing. It was modern, comfortable and had everything you needed. The breakfast hamper we ordered as an extra included excellent items which were of a very high quality. Ruth, Ste and team were so accommodating after we arrived earlier than anticipated and went above and beyond. The hot tub was a great bonus, sitting in there on New Year’s Eve with a bottle of fizz was perfect and tranquil. We can’t recommend Wolds Edge enough and are already looking at dates for a return visit.

We stayed here for 3 nights for our mini-moon, and we absolutely loved it. Ruth and Steve were very friendly and very helpful they will do anything for you to make your stay a good one. We stayed in the tree house and it was brilliant. Very clean and modern. The Jacuzzi was amazing, and I loved how quiet the area was it was so peaceful. The local village was very nice and the local shop and cafe was lovely and the shop had everything you would need. We went for a meal at the local pub the Fleece Inn and we were not disappointed the food was amazing and the staff were very good and friendly. We didn't want to come back home, and we will definitely be staying at the lodges again in the near future. Ruth and Steve have done an excellent job with the site. The chickens and squirrels on site are very friendly.

Fantastic accommodation, the owners seem to have thought of everything. Wonderful location, lovely to get away and relax in the countryside. Lovely walks around, great village shop and pub, The Fleece. Handy for York and further afield. Will definitely come again and recommend to friends. We loved our New Year here, even the rain couldn’t dampen our spirits.
