We tried the new Sunday Lunch takeaway menu, roast beef, Yorkshire and the fully Monty of vegetables. It came on a foil tray piping hot and easy to serve on to the plate. The presentation was fantastic and portion generous. Top quality beef and crisp roast potatoes did not disappoint, we will be returning soon. Thoroughly recommended!!

Visiting for a significant birthday party nearby, this was an ideal spot to stay. The room in the Stable Courtyard behind the pub was small but clean and tidy with an ensuite and a tea/coffee tray and tv/wifi.
Parking and access to the side was easy and a hearty basic breakfast ( massive full English) was more than adequate; actually I excluded some of the items to cope.

We stayed for a couple of nights as we had an event to attend in the area, our Double room which was in the Stable Courtyard was clean and the bed comfortable.
The Owners/Staff made us feel very welcome.
A Full English Breakfast was served in the pub restaurant, which by the way was huge and very tasty. No way I could eat a full Breakfast so opted for just a few items.
We would definitely recommend this B&B as a place to stay if visiting the area.

This was my 4th visit to the Coach and Horses, we go there for a dinner everytime we are in England. Great food and service and the pub is historic and has a lovely atmosphere.
The menu caters well for kids, it is very extensive for adults with Starters, Main and Dessert.

Warm and friendly pub.
Visited for Sunday lunch and had an amazing roast. We both went for the trio of meat, chicken, pork loin and roast beef. All served up with roast potatoes, creamy mash, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, Yorkshire pudding and lashings of gravy!
Highly recommend if you have a good appetite!

We visited the Coach and Horses on a Friday evening foe dinner. I hadn't been there for a while so wondered if the food would be as good as ut always has been. I needn't have worrried!!! The food is always excellent. Tasty, good portions, well presented. The staff are amazing and the young man who served us couldn't have been better. Attentive, quick to respond to requests and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend this gem of a pub. I have been eating at yhe Coach and Horses for many, many years and I have never had a bad experience. Top notch!!!

+1
A comfortable double room. Very warm in the cold weather. Clean. Good tea coffee tray. Good WIFI throughout. Full english breakfast sets you up strongly for the day. Good location in the village. I could even walk to work round the corner to the industrial estate. Or down the road to the Purple Ivy for a great curry.

Came on a Saturday, had breakfast in the pub. It was really tasty, great value, with gorgeous coffee. There's a set menu of 'full English' but well worth it 😀
The staff are very friendly, and everything is nice and clean. Will definitely be back (maybe tomorrow!!).

Our room was small and hot but reasonably clean, and fun with low beams and pleasant up lighting. The food came in generous portions although not exactly as advertised in the menu. Decor in the room fairly fresh, pub old fashioned, telly on and radio at the same time...

We were driving around looking for a nice pub lunch and found the Coach and Horses. We were greeted with a lovely warm welcome and the food was brought out very quickly and was very well cooked. Price was very reasonable and the choice was varied. WHAT A GREAT FIND. We will be recommending the Coach and Horses to all our friends and family.

"We stayed on the lower floor as they have staircases to the upper level. We stayed the lower floor due to the suitcases we had. Although there were guests upstairs we could hear their footfalls but it wasnt that loud."Read full review
