Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The hotel is pretty average but has some highlights. The rooms are a bit outdated and the bathrooms definitely need redone but the beds are comfy and room is spacious. We got a deluxe pet friendly room with 2 double beds. The room was large consisting of two queen sized double beds, a sofa, TV, and desk. There could be more storage but overall the room was good. On our arrival, we had to pay £5 for parking!(usually more but discount because of bank holiday) and a charge for our dog but no bed or bowls for it. The food was really good with many options for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is better on the weekends with meat and veggie sausages instead of just meat and there was no fruit compote in the week. The dinner was good with high quality food.

I have stayed here a couple of times as the hotel does have a lot going for it. Just off the M1 with plenty of parking and a good gym. The staff are friendly and helpful and it serves a very good breakfast. However the rooms are very tired and it really could do with a refurbishment. The bed is comfortable and it is quiet. Not a lot around here so eating is really at the hotel.

I stayed In room 250 and all I can stay is what a fantastic stay I had for all 3 nights. I can’t understand the negative reviews as the staff are super friendly and the hotel itself is beautiful for the price. Please don’t go by the negative reviews as it’s nothing to do with hotel or staff it’s must be that saying Don’t confuse my personality with my attitude my personality is who I am, my attitude depends on you….. Nothing was too much for the staff and they all work so hard. The rooms are massive and the beds are super comfortable and a very clean hotel all Round. Thank you 🙏

If you are taking a tiny dog overnight, it will cost you an extra £35 plus £7.00 for parking. I understand the need for a small charge, but you will not know about this charge and how much until you arrive at the hotel. The hotel is ok, close to the motorway M1. Breakfast is good. Staff friendly. Customer service is appalling. We would not stay here again.

Firstly, the hotel itself is pleasant enough, the rooms are clean, spacious and provide all the facilities you need. Have no complaints. However, we booked as a corporate booking, 50+ rooms, which included breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was great, buffet style with plenty of options. Dinner on the other hand was the worst I've ever experienced. Group of six, ordered, waited over an 1hr and 15minutes for the starters to arrive. The food itself is average at best . Night two, we ordered early to avoid a late night finish. Starters arrived after 45mins, however one was missing. It was only when one of us told the waitress we were short that we were told they had run out of cold meats. A main then arrives alone shortly after, and the final meal or our group over an hour later. The chicken starter was cold to the touch, the pizza over cooked, then burger leaking liquid all over the plate. A really really poor experience to the point we went elsewhere the following two nights. Hilton, you must do better.

Food quality was terrible. Cold chicken wings, arancini balls full of fresh air, forgotten side orders, burnt pizza which was clearly a frozen one. Main courses coming out an hour apart on the same table.

If you’re looking for a short stay in Northampton, this is my go to hotel. Staff are really helpful, rooms are spacious and comfortable. There seems to be an intentional effort by all staff to place being friendly to the customers. I don’t think I’ve seen this across the board in any other hotel in the UK. Really great customer service and a great credit to the Hilton Group.

Not so very warm welcome at reception after a five hour drive. Then very slow to check in before being passed on to someone else because they were now dealing with someone else. Then finally get all my details & was told that I needed last 4 digits of card to check in. I’m a Hilton Diamond member and I’m booked in hotels via my work travel agency so do not have the card to hand (I’ve visited 40 hotels this year and not once have they required this information. Checked in online in the end but not what you need when arriving late for business on the next day.
