Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great location for Northampton rural area stays. Moulton is a quiet village. The Poplars is where I stay, friendly, warm welcome always. Good parking and outside lodges suit me fine, breakfast is great as always with a variety of options.

Superb hotel with a truly fantastic full English breakfast. The hotel is in a small village and is, in my view, quintessentially English with old beam work and open fires. The hosts are wonderful and welcoming. It doesn’t have a bar or evening food but the are a couple of restaurants and pubs just a few minutes walk away. The rooms are cleaned and serviced to a high standard and the staff are all very polite. Thank you for a lovely stay and will return for that beautifully cooked hot English breakfast.

Fantastic customer service. Brilliant breakfast spread and service. Clean and fit for purpose rooms, nothing fancy but everything you need and a bit more. Kept hold of my bags when I needed to pick them up later in the day after checkout which was a lovely touch. Would definitely stay again.

A very friendly welcome from the owner with good local information provided about the village, where to eat and drink etc. A clean and well presented quiet ground floor room with complementary water, tea making and biscuits. A comfy king sized bed and a very nice cooked to order full English breakfast. Free parking just next to our room.

We only spent one night here, but were treated so well! The room was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. When we arrived after meal hours, the owner called a local pub and arranged for us to get dinner there. So welcoming! We would love to come back!
