This Inn was recommended to me and now I am recommending it to others. Situated just off the main road between Haltwhistle and Hexam the Boathouse has everything, lovely welcoming staff, lovely food and spotlessly clean accommodation. See attached awards. A little expensive at £85 per night but well worth the spend.

This was our second stay at The Boatside and again we thoroughly enjoyed it. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated, bed extremely comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities and fresh water bottles every day. It makes a change to stay away and have a shower that is actually powerful, just lovely. Each evening the pub and restaurant were busy and that...

Both my husband and I hit our heads on ceiling when sitting up in bed. Both bed and bath are positioned under lowest part so both of us unable to stand up in the...

First visit for dinner - offered restaurant or conservatory and chose restaurant, but both looked similar. In a group of four we shared our starter, had four different main courses and all chose from the extensive ice cream menu for dessert. Staff were attentive at first, but perhaps a bit too relaxed later - we had almost to persuade them...
