We have just returned from a weekend break at Harthill Hall we stayed in room 6 Henrys Haunt. Upon arrival we were treated with flowers, champagne and cake for my birthday which was a lovely surprise however that was probably the highlight of our stay. The room is very cold not helped by the slate floor throughout some of which...

We stayed for a weekend with friends in the cottage named: Cockaynes. As a friendship group we have stayed in many cottages in the Peaks and I have to say (we were all in agreement) that for the price, this one was very disappointing. For the money we paid, we would have expected a far better standard of accommodation. Regrettably,...

Stayed in a lot of cottages over last few years. Maybe I have been spoiled by the excellent facilities at previous cottages, as this was not even on the same level. Paid over £2k for a Xmas stay for 7 and our dogs at deferrers cottage. From the start the experience could have been better. Apparently we had 4 parking...

We have stayed at Harthill on several occasions now and always enjoyed our stay. The children love the pool and hot tub and the cottage has everything you need for a weekend away from home. Looking forward to returning again soon.

The whole family (13 including baby) stayed in the Manor House for 4 nights. The accommodation is certainly full of character, and very comfortable. The pool and hot tub were a hit with adults and children. There were a few minor maintenance issues which needed sorting out, but nothing major. The layout upstairs is a bit difficult to work out...

We found this the perfect base for our 4-night trip to the Derbyshire Dales. The accommodation (Hartle cottage) was exactly what we were looking for even though it is the only one without a hot tub (which we knew before booking). We would definitely visit again.

We stayed at Henry's haunt which is a beautiful little cottage, with four poster bed and private hot tub. The owners knew this was for our mini moon and had left us a bottle of prosecco and chocolates, which was a lovely touch, thank you. The best bit was the hot tub - we loved it and were in it...

We stayed here as a group of two families of 4 in Cokaynes, which completely exceeded our expectations. We were also lucky enough to to be able to have a wander around the Manor House during our holiday too, which was authentic and simply exquisite. So much history - would truly love to stay there in the future. The view...

Stayed here with my family and felt very let down by what the website stated and the actual place. The rooms were very dark with very little lighting, the kitchen was under equipped, the pool was freezing which having two small children was ridiculous, the games room was terrible, it seemed like an afterthought it wasn't worth visiting. .The place...
