I had a wonderful stay in Jim’s barn to celebrate my 40th birthday with my oldest friends. My dads side of the family are Digglers and I have very fond memories as a child spending Easter and Christmas at my grandparents. I now tend to visit every two years and have tried all of the local accommodation. I like them all for different reasons but I have to say that Diggle House Farm ticked all the boxes for me and I will definitely be back! The accommodation is set on a delightful family farm. The place was absolutely faultless and the pictures online don’t do it justice. I loved it! It is a good size but still cosy, very clean and had everything you need. Abigail and Nigel were lovely hosts; friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I adored their dog Benji! For me, the animals (calves, pigs, ducks, chickens, horses, sheep, cats and dogs) were a huge bonus as I am a massive animal lover. A short walk to the pub (diggle hotel), slightly longer more scenic route to the other pub (the church inn) and a good spot for setting off on the long, but well worth the effort walk over the top Marsden. (FYI there are vegan rag puddings at the church inn). We stayed 5nights and I thought that we might run out of things to do but I have to say that I wished that we had stayed for at least 7 nights, well, actually I could easily stay for 30nights, or forever! To all at the Diggle House Farm, thanks for having us. See you soon! Susanna x

Hi Susanna, thank you for your fabulous review. Wish we had known you were celebrating a special birthday, we would have at least got you a card!! We owe you a drink or two next time you visit! Benji is missing you and looks hopefully at the front door every time he passes with his tennis ball. So glad you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to seeing you again in the not too distant future. Best wishes Abigail & Nigel (& Benj)

Highly recommend the accommodation at Diggle House Farm - and a stay in this part of the world. Three of us shared the two-bedroomed cottage, Jim’s Barn. It was spotlessly clean, well equipped and had beautiful views across farmland. We really enjoyed the farm location, just a short walk from the village. Both the farm animals and local wildlife (lapwings, curlews, hares) helped make our stay extra special - as did Nigel and Abigail whose thoughtful touches in the cottage and patience in answering our many questions about the farm and the area was impressive! It’s a great area for walking: in lush green countryside, on the moor, along the canal and by the river; and the farm is in a good location to head out from. If I’m in Diggle again - I will definitely be trying to book here!

We had a lovely 3 nights stay at Nell’s cottage. Everything was spotlessly clean with some great welcoming touches. The cottage has excellent walks from the door and is 10-15 min walk to the pub. The views are amazing, from the windows and also from the handy outdoor space. Thanks Nigel for your hospitality! Would definitely visit again.
