When we arrived, man at desk very chatty, after 10mins+ chatting, we were shown our room.
Room was small and noticed holes in wall, cracked wobbly tiles in bathroom. But facilities in room ok.
Except we had no shower curtain, told man at desk, but nothing was sorted.
Bed not comfortable, but each to their own memory foam not for me. No sleep both nights, due to bed and hearing neighbors.

Be warned NO BAR!
Even though on here says there is a bar!
No Breakfast even though says times on back of door when breakfast is served!
All in all it’s cheap and cheerful, an experience shall we say!!

The owner is a very charming and personable gent who made us feel very welcome. This is a very basic hotel and quite tired. For the brilliant rate, it suited us fine but don’t expect any frills. Double room was very small indeed. Good location.

Basic hotel, stayed with my teenage son. Room just about fitted 2 single beds, with toilet and shower, small tv. Surprisingly quite at night time considering a lot of the other residents were on hens and stags. Carpet behind the beds could do with a Hoover but overall it is a place to drop the bags and sleep. Lots of good amenities in the area, Lidl, Co-op, good chipper, a few pubs, excellent Indian just up the road. Staff were very nice, would definitely stay again, but bear in mind if you are looking for a place to pass through and have a good nights Kip this is your venue, if you want something where you are going to hang out in the room then the Best Western or Mercury down the street are more for you

I stayed here for a total of 6 weeks in July/August 2020 due to problems with my flat. First impressions when you walk into the hotel and 24 hour reception are that it is clean and bright. The room was also clean with a very comfortable bed and very quiet. They have strict Covid secure measures in place to make you feel safe. All the staff couldn't do enough for me. I had a few very interesting chats with the owner who is very friendly as are all the staff. The room had a kettle and a T.V. and Wi-Fi is provided free of charge, you are also provided with hand soap, hand cream and shower gel as well as toilet paper and tissues. The shower was nice and warm and I was given 3 towels. The hotel is only a 15 minute walk into the city cente and a 5 minute bus ride. I stayed in a nearby hotel a couple of minutes up the road before booking into this one and it just doesn't in any way compare to this one. If you need to book a hotel close to Nottingham City then I can't recommend this one highly enough. I think it would be hard to find a hotel as cheap which is of such high quality.

Booked for 3 nights in May for my husband and I. We'll all I can say it was awful. The gentleman at the reception seemed friendly but that's about it. We had Room 3 it was a disgrace. It should have been a single room. The bathroom was a toilet in one side of a built in sliding door wardrobe and a shower in the other side! The end of the bed was about a foot away from the sliding door/toilet. Gap in toilet door( see picture)

The wash sink was on the room there wasn't any hand wash I had to take the empty bottle of body lotion downstairs to ask them to fill that with hand wash!

The blinds in the room had slats missing and broken.

You couldn't open the window because of the stench of the downpipe.

Our towels weren't changed while we were there I had to take them down to be changed.,( see picture of sign in room regarding towels)

The signs in the room advertised breakfast at certain times.....they don't do food.

Light hanging off of wall!

Honestly avoid if you have booked and they offer you room 3 ...refuse it's a disgrace.

Genuinely the worst place me and my partner have stayed, and here is why !!
1) they advertise breakfast when in fact you get directed to a ‘spoons’ down the road
2) when we got to our room the carpets were full of dirt and the towels provided had hole in and were stained
3) the toilet/shower room was missing 1 of 2 sliding doors and the one remaining was off it’s hinges and a huge safety risk. This meant when myself or my partner went to the toilet there was no door and the toilet is directly opposite the bed.
4) all of the soap for the ‘bathroom sink’ (which was next to the bed) was non- existent.
5) the bed small, dirty and rock hard. But the worst thing about it was it was on a complete slant so when sleeping you were battling to stay on the bed.
6) the hole place felt unsafe. You couldn’t lock your door from the inside. The door lock was awful and when we left the hotel the owner told us we had to leave our key (which put us on edge about our personal belongings)
7) we payed £70 for this and the owner and staff made it hard to ask for any sort of refund. When we told the reception staff about our toilet door he said ‘yeah it’s bad but I can’t move you’

Overall it was a terrible experience. The tv was alright tho

Stayed here as a couple. Booked a twin room for 3 nights at £180. Wasn’t expecting the ritz just a decent clean comfortable bed for a few nights ..not 5* luxury.
O/a it took 20 minutes to book in as owner is a very chatty man who likes to talk…a lot about himself ! He showed us to our room , Room 15 out the back, ground floor where again he outstayed his welcome!
The room on entering stunk of damp , had NO windows, no natural light , a large crack in ceiling, old brown satin thin duvets from the 70’s ( not sure they been washed since then either) a dustbin with out a pedal and a broken lid that had been kicked to death, stains all up the walls , a tv propped high on top of a wardrobe above bed so unwatchable… a step down into the en-suite led to a fixed shower that doesn’t reach so needs to be used hand held, half a toilet roll, rusty radiator, sloping shelf above sink, scanky thread bare stained green towel, and someone else’s hair all over the floor.
The walls are thin and we were kept awake all night by next doors fan they brought from home and their snoring above that! The ceilings creaks ALOT so you can hear everyone above you that moves in their room so much it sounded like the ceiling was about to come down !
This is not a room where you take your shoes off! Our second night we got back late to our room which felt damp, as was our bedding and pillows, all wet, the next morning we checked out and went to a hotel down the road for our own health and safety.
Don’t be fooled by the pictures on booking.com or website , they are outdated, there is NO bar, there is No breakfast and there is no Restaurant. The pub across the road only has a license until 10-30pm but will keep you awake until 2 am with their loud music and noise if your street side. There is a Lidl opposite and a couple pubs but none were open at 10 am for breakfast so we bused it to Sherwood shops to a Wetherspoons half a mile away or so. Get a day rider if there are 2 of , works out cheaper. There is a large garden out back but it’s unkept unlike the pictures and some street side parking…the only positive to this hotel ..sorry I mean HOSTEL !

All staff members were friendly and helpful but the hotel needs a serious amount of investment to make it passable.

We chose this specifically for cheap accommodation in Sherwood on NYE and stayed in room 25 - Broken items included two of three radiators, TV, light above mirror. There were no toiletries, not even soap in the bathroom. The bed linen was spotless and the bed itself very comfortable.

We stayed for two nights to attend a concert. The room was reasonably clean and had everything for a short stay- kettle, tea and coffee etc, tv, dressing table with chair, wardrobe, bedside drawers, telephone, free Wi-Fi, plenty of plug sockets inc two usb sockets. Hand wash in bathroom had run out but we had shower gel provided. The mirrors could have been cleaner, and there were some stains on the walls. However, the bed was comfortable and clean, and the room was airy and surprisingly quiet. Free parking. Friendly and helpful manager and staff- happy to call a local taxi for you if required. Ideal location with a well served bus stop outside to take you into the city (£2 contactless payment). Lidl store opposite, alongside a great chippy, and a good family pub. No breakfast provided but hot food from outside allowed to be taken to rooms. For those with realistic expectations looking for a cheap overnight stay (we paid £49 a night) this is a good choice. Would definitely stay again, many thanks!

Absolutely filthy place. A homeless persons sleeping bag would be more sanitary. I wouldn't stay if it was free!

Upon walking in to check in, we had to wait as only the manager could check people in (very bizarre). So, whilst waiting, we looked around, as you do when bored, peered into what looked like a communal room/waiting area, TV on the wall with no cables attached, just dangling. Mould and water soaked walls either side. Back to the Reception. Floor was insanely sticky, imagine spilling a litre of juice, letting it dry and think yeah it's fine, then walk on it. Bookshelf/leaflet stall, EXTREMELY THICK layer of dust, my finger tip was black after wiping an inch along the top.
Continued waiting around for the manager (outside, so much cleaner). He eventually arrived in a swanky Mercedes, told him my thoughts and that we'd be booking elsewhere, didn't even seem bothered, told him about what I'd seen and if we could have a refund at all, his response was simply "No refunds".. he knows his place is way below human standards hence the 'policy'.

If i knew how to report him to a higher authority I would but, I don't so a scathing review will have to do.

People please, avoid this place, it is not safe!!
