We stayed here as my son was getting married, form check in to check out the staff were amazing so friendly the manager on duty when we checked was really friendly. The house keeping staff were lovely chatting to us on the day of the wedding and remembering us the following day asking if we had had a nice day and how lovely we all looked. I must admit I am a terrible sleeper but had 2 great nights sleep which is unheard of from me. Will definitely be going back oh yes and breakfast is fab so much choice. Thankyou all for a great stay.

Really don’t know how this hotel has good reviews. Our room was the size of a cupboard. The oversized bed head took up most of the room with the double bed pushed against a wall, and no access into the bed other than climbing over. More attention has been given to tacky gimmicky tat around the room than to the general up keep - the frame of the wall mirror was broken and hanging off, mouldy curtains, mildew damage in shower, cracked and chipped sachet holder containing one measly milk carton, ironing board stored next to the bed head. The room was overheated and the windows are fixed shut so the only option was to put on the noisiest air conditioning unit that whistled throughout the night (hardly eco friendly). Terrible nights sleep. Nothing would make me want to return to this hotel.

Dear TheDukes2013, Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear you found the City Pad room too small for you. These are our smallest room grades which are more ideal for 1 guest but can sleep 2. They are ideal for short stays and for guests who may not be staying in the room for too long. I highly recommend our Privilege rooms and Suites for guests who require and desire ample space and staying in the room for a long amount of time. I am very sorry for the issues you mention and thank you for bringing them to my attention. I share this with both my maintenance and housekeeping team along with our owner to consider upon any future refurbishment plans. I am very sorry your stay fell below expectations and sincerely hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future so you can experience us at our usual very best. Kindest regards Chris Butler Hotel Manager

We only stayed in Nottingham for a day / night before travelling to Alton Towers the next day. We were both pleasantly surprised by the hotel which holds a lot of history and character. The room was very comfortable and had no interruptions from outside noise despite its location. There is a cool bar downstairs with a pool table if you’re looking for a quick drink before dinner. The staff are polite and welcoming. We even got a complimentary upgrade which was a lovely surprise. The area has lots to do nearby, plenty of restaurants and bars so you won’t be bored. We would definitely come back if we find ourselves in Nottingham again. Can’t find any fault with the hotel

I couldn’t be happier with the service I was given over the phone by Sophia and the team. Brilliant!! To say I called on a busy Saturday night panicking over my cancellation not working and being charged £800, they did everything they could to help and I now no longer need to stress. Everything was going very wrong this week so a HUGE thank you to the team for sorting my issue so quickly!! Their customer service was fantastic. THANK YOU! :)
