Stayed here for two nights with my wife as part of a broader trip including other areas of the UK.
We often stay in more budget range of hotels (Premier Inn), but thought we would splash out on the higher rates of this hotel.
Certainly an impressive external glass frontage with moat (and resident moorhens). Foyer very tastefully decorated for Christmas and glass atrium giving lots of natural light.
Room itself was spacious and comfortable. No bath but large shower. (Wife requests a positive mention for the extendable illuminated magnifying mirror in the bathroom).
Bed itself and duvet both very comfortable.
Staff were friendly and welcoming overall.
We ate at the hotel on one of our nights there, and to be honest were slightly disappointed at the range and quality of food - not poor exactly, but just about average.
Breakfast was good, but I wouldn’t have wanted to pay £18.50 each morning as advertised on the website (we took a £10pp option in advance).
One minor picky criticism for us was that although the room was comfortable, the lighting was not very bright. Fine for most of the time, but not ideal for locating dropped jewellery!
Location is on the outskirts of Nottingham, with good public transport links, but we found it more convenient to drive the few miles in to the city as it is well served by car parks.
Overall a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Stayed here for my birthday weekend as a base for shopping and visiting the Forest. Warm Cookies and friendly greeting on arrival. Room was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant which was adequately priced (3 course meal for 2 with a bottle of wine £74.00 *vegetable soup, roast beef dinner and vanilla cheesecake x 2). Food arrived in good time, plates were cleared swiftly and waiting staff were pleasant. We had breakfast in the morning (£12 p/p pre-booked) which had various options of fruit, yoghurts, pastries and full English Breakfast. It's a self service set up and the food was amazing. Enjoyed our stay immensely and will definitely be back.

Arrived for a week-end stay to visit friends and was pleased to see 4 housekeepers on the floor “cleaning” rooms so a positive start.
Not so.
On knocking something under the edge of the bed with my foot I pulled out a dusty glasses case(not mine!!), on moving the bed we found a dusty “gummy bear”, crisps & biscuits, having been there sometime.The beds hadn’t been moved for sometime to clean underneath.The bed base was stained all down the sides.Behind the tv/fridge unit it was filthy,thick with dust.Whilst I appreciate the unit maybe too heavy to move daily this area hadn’t been touched in months!!!
Requested a room change,so lugged luggage to the next room along, only to find the exact same issue behind the unit thick with dust & whilst under the bed there weren’t any remnant food items it still needed a thorough clean & vacuum.
I had taken a spray sanitizer with me and cloths praying these would not need to be used, but obviously disappointed as I wiped surfaces and the cloth was covered in dust and dirt.
Time had moved on and we were meeting friends & we decided to move to another room(the third) would be pointless as I’m sure we would have been met with the same issues.
We left early Saturday morning and didn’t stay the second night,and was charged for the first night even after protests of filth & the receptionist explaining staff shortages(no excuse) although we saw 4 on our arrival.
Although sealed and sanitised stickers across the entry door are a “nice touch” they are meaningless if not adhered to.
Whether in the middle of a pandemic or not, avoid staying at the Hilton Doubletree,Nottingham.If they don’t clean the dust & dirt you can see, imagine the germs & grime you can’t!!

We stayed here on Christmas Day whilst visiting family. From the moment we arrived the staff went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect.
The room was extremely comfortable and there was the extra little touch of wrapped Christmas presents and a card addressed to us personally.
We arranged for family to join us for breakfast on Boxing Day when again all the staff went out of their way to make it a lovely experience. One of the highlights was the pancake machine!
All in all we can’t fault this hotel - they quickly sorted a mix up about payment which was resolved immediately. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend it without any hesitation.

I often pop in to work for a couple of hours when I'm in Nottingham, they have some great tables and booths to chose from. The staff are great and are happy to look after you. They have just added a building with more rooms which shows it is busy and in demand, they often have conferences going on and the venue for me is in a great location.

I stayed for one night from Sunday 29th to Monday 30th August 2021.

The check in was very quick and easy and we received a lovely warm and friendly welcome from the lovely man on main reception. The hotel is very clean and welcoming.

I was staying in a king room and my room was very clean and the king size bed very comfortable which made for a good night's sleep.

The room came complete with a lovely en suite bathroom, an excellent shower with great water pressure not to cold and not to hot, towels and toiletries such as shampoo, soap body wash etc. A large TV and plenty of storage..

The room had a fridge stocked with bottles of water with tea and coffee supplies to.

I had a very enjoyable one night stay at this lovely hotel in Nottingham. I would highly recommend it.

This is definitely my most favourite Hilton in the UK.
I am a very frequent guest and I am impressed how the hotel handles every situation since the pandemic. To run any hospitality outlet in the past 12 months was not easy and they just managed to surprise me every time.
I have the app on my phone so I check-in in advance and do not have to go through reception if I don't want to, I can go straight to my room which I can choose at the time of the online check-in and my digital key is then sent to my phone.
The rooms are spacious, bright and clean with nice extra touches such as free toiletries.
Mistakes do sometimes happen and that is understandable but it is all about how they are handled. I had to complain about my room once at the beginning of one of my stays but the reception dealt with it efficiently and I was in a new room in no time.
It is also one of the very few hotels that offered room service during the lockdown and I loved the food. The menu is quite large and always delivered to my door piping hot and with a smile (you can also collect it from the restaurant but I just prefer it delivered to my room).
I do hope that the management reads these reviews because I think the staff really deserves a recognition. Phillip at the reception is very polite, friendly and always happy to help. I do travel a lot and to see a friendly face that I can have a quick chat with makes me feel a little bit like at home.
I look forward to visiting again, in a just few weeks time.

We stayed one night to break a journey. All the staff we met were super helpful, polite and hard working.

We arrived about 11am due to journey timings and were immediately allocated an upgraded room, presumably as nothing else was available. Magdalena on the front desk was very helpful and explained all the covid-19 related changes.
There is free car parking.

The room was spotless and we had a good stay. Breakfast has returned to a reduced buffet with staff plating up hot items for guests. This means that breakfast service is faster (than waiting for everything to be cooked and plated in the kitchen) and that you can have seconds! The restaurant staff were all very friendly.

Although the main restaurant isn’t open after breakfast, the bar stays open till 2145 and there is room service - the food was decent and pub-type.

We enjoyed our stay and felt it was great value for money.

This was my first stay in any hotel since restrictions were lifted so I wasn't sure what to expect but I was not disappointed.

The hotel location is superb with easy access from the motorway and into the city, yet somehow, they manage to maintain an air of peace and quiet... helped along by the large moat outside and resident waterfowl!

Check in was hassle free, friendly and professional.

I was staying for a couple of nights so was pleased to find the room was a good size, really well presented and very comfortable.

Room service was still available but I ended up having to call reception because they'd hidden the menu so well. Why this couldn't just have been left on a table or desk for easy access, instead of making guests hunt for it, I'm really unsure. Still, when I did get my evening meals, both were absolutely delicious.

There were a couple of very minor maintenance concerns (dripping shower) but nothing enough to spoil my stay,

Overall, I was really happy with my stay and will definitely return.
