Enjoy your stay in Nottingham!
The room was clean room and the staff were friendly, but the hotel was very expensive (breakfast and parking were not included) and the noise from outside meant I didn't get to sleep til gone 2am. Very central location.
I stayed here for two nights, booking was easy the price was very fair , I can’t fault my stay, great restaurants close by also the hotel offered room service I didn’t use this time as I already had plans , but if I use this hotel again will definitely try room service, friendly staff, the hotel was clean and fresh
The staff are friendly, the breakfast is good and we did get used to the sound of the elevator shaft. However the first thing that strikes you as you enter the hotel is the shoddy repair work on the broken tiles on the floor. Generally the poor attention to detail builds up to something greater. We had booked five nights for three people. You would therefore expect at least three cups and a clean window (see image). We got two paper cups and a dirty window. What a five day view of Nottingham! Also the expectation that one of us sleep on a broken mattress from a fold out bed for five nights seemed to be acceptable. The springs dig into your back and the best solution they would offer was another duvet to soften the impact. Go buy another mattress and treat your guests properly! We also had to ask for room-keeping after the 3rd night. We shouldn't have to ask. We were there 5 days - you must know that towels will be wet. You must know the bins will get full. You must know we will run out of toilet paper. It is embarrassing to have to ask for toilet paper. It really is. But because you want to use covid and the environment as a means to cut staffing costs, that's what I had to do. That's what I got for 1000 pounds - the feeling that they were doing me a favor by letting me stay there. Like a child on a school trip I had to keep asking for paper cups just to have a drink and toilet paper to keep myself clean. Oh, and, the bathroom floods with every shower. Not recommended as a 4 star stay unless city center location is your priority. That was a plus. Hotels of this standard have, at last and deservedly so, been found out by the rise of AirBnB and similar businesses. The future is bleak for hotels that shift all responsibilities to guests, especially big payers, and the quite remarkable poor attention to detail is accelerating that demise.…
On why you do it how it should be and what to expect it rarely goes wrong unless there are outside forces making it difficult for the hotel services not to work in tour favour it’s all good the only thing is not everybody has a heart so be ready to have to get serious and let them know how it should be knobody likes to be taken advantage off
i selected this hotel as it was a little more expensive and had listed various facilities which weren't actually reflective of the real life experience of the hotel, such as the gym facilities, restaurant and business facilities
