Stayed here recently & had a great stay. You really can't beat the location so close to many of the attractions & venues. The city centre, the castle, ye olde trip to Jerusalem, the train station, the arena , the football grounds notts forest, notts county the cricket ground all within about 15 mins walk. So easy to find opposite the BBC a good size carpark a small charge of £4.00 per day. Nice size hotel speedy check-in rooms standard premier inn always could do with a bit more storage. Not the cleanest we have ever stayed in but ok good value for money can imagine more expensive when events on around about. We stayed on the 5th floor we had no trouble with noise even though on a busy road & no problem with the room temperature. The restaurant is a thyme one so inside the building. We had the meal deal 1 day it's really good value at £24.99 for main meal we had a starter with a drink followed by breakfast next day. The breakfast really nice made to order advertised as all you can eat a little moan here we were not asked how much we wanted or asked later if needed anymore. We did have a great time & would certainly stay here again if in the area

We were due to arrive for a 2 night stay at 6pm.
We were flying in from Alicante and had a 6 1/2 hour delay. We phoned premier inn to advise them that we would be there late.
When we finally arrived into our rooms we had been left a handwritten note saying they were sorry we had been delayed and we had been left packets of biscuits and extra tea/ coffee/milk. This was such a nice touch.
The room was a good size and the position of the hotel for the Motorpoint Arena and the town centre was brilliant.
On departure day the hotel looked after our bags in a locked room.
We were back at the hotel an hour before our taxi arrived and whilst sitting there the bar lady came up with a jug of iced water and glasses for us all. Again another thoughtful nice touch.
We were so impressed with the whole experience and the staff.
We will definitely be staying there again.

We needed one night’s accommodation in Nottingham for a show at the Motorpoint Arena. We decided to book the hotel about 10 months before we needed the accommodation so got what I considered to be a good price for the room. We’d never stopped at this Premier Inn before and were very impressed by the helpfulness of the reception staff in checking us in and assisting us to reserve a table and booking a meal deal in time for our show at the arena. Our room was up to the very high standards of other Premier Inn’s we’ve stopped at in the past with the room being very comfortable and quiet enabling us to get a good night’s sleep. The Thyme restaurant dining room used for our meals was located next to a canal basin and we were able to watch the ducks jumping in and out of the basin from our table during our evening meal and during breakfast. The arena was about a 5-minute walk from the hotel and roughly a 10 – 15-minute walk from the railway station depending which entrance is used.

Great location for both arena and the town centre, room clean enough and bed comfortable, all staff we encountered were friendly and polite, unfortunately this is where the positive remains. Small things in the room only three hangers (bought my own glad I did) only two sachets of coffee and tea, some on reception but these ran out as well we stayed for the weekend but our room was not cleaned.

But the main issue with this premier inn was the restaurant the cooked breakfast was both cold and overcooked the bacon was like cardboard! But the evening meal was a complete let down, my starter of chicken skewers was dry and tasteless, on being seated at our table we were advised that they had fun out of pizza, cheese, and rice considering such a limited menu and the restaurant not being busy this was amazing, I ordered the pie with chips and a hug of gravy with a side of vegetables when our main arrived was told they had fun out of veg too!!!!! The jug of gravy tiny as was the portion of tasteless peas, the pie was rock hard and inedible and the chips were raw in the middle. The staff did take the main dishes of our bill but as on a meal deal not much of a saving. I have stayed in plenty of premier inns but have never been served such awful food.

To sum up great place to stay for the arena but eat elsewhere.

We stay at Premier Inns a few times a year and they have a good standard of comfort, cleanliness and service

We were in Nottingham for the Bob Dylan gig at the arena which is only 5 minutes walk from the PI

There is car parking on site although it is run by a separate company. It was £12 per day which I felt was a little pricey

Our room was up to the usual standard - comfortable, good TV, hairdryer, tea and coffee, large comfy bed, good shower

There are not many cafes nearby so we had continental breakfast at the hotel. It was really nice with cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, muffins, crumpets, croissants, juice, coffee, tea. The cost was £7-50 per person which was decent value

The previous evening, after the gig, we had a couple of drinks in the bar. There was a decent choice and the prices were fair

The staff we came into contact with were all fine. In particular Lee who we had to ask for information a few times and Sangya, on reception, who was so helpful and absolutely charming

Cons - the lift still does not work, it's been months now apparently. No housekeeping. No air conditioning. Geese wake you up at 6am. :)
Pros - the disabled bay parking is on lvl 1 of the hotel and our room was on lvl 1, luckily, so the only stairs I had to deal with were for going down to breakfast. although there is not housekeeping staff, the reception team met all our needs, clean towels, extra tea and coffee etc., we had a room at the back and it was very quiet indeed. even had a lovely view of the canal. the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and accommodated my dietary needs, which they remembered the next day too. They are all doing a great job considering the current circumstances.

We, a family of 5, stayed here for one night because of a family event locally the following day. Our stay was extremely pleasant with great help at reception including an offer glass of the receptionist’s own milk, for my daughter who was feeling a little ‘acidic’. The rooms including bathrooms were all clean and perfect for the occasion. Breakfast the following day had a good selection of choices and was served all by a charming and attentive waitress. Not all Premier Inn stays have been as good as this one, so I wanted to give it a good thumbs up for other travellers that may be visiting Nottingham

Chosen for the location near to the arena (5 mins walk) Staff very friendly, a little overwhelmed with an influx of guests. Room was very clean and quiet on top floor, but seemed in need of refreshing in terms of decor and furniture, scuffs etc. Breakfast disappointing quality of cooked meal which was cold when served. Otherwise a convenient situation.Would stay again.

An excellent hotel. Had a 1 night stay and it couldn't have been better.
I arrived about half an hour before the official check in time but the polite and efficient receptionist found me a room that had already been cleaned and allowed me to check in early.
The room was spotless with a huge bed that was comfortable with lovely soft pillows.
Breakfast was superb, freshly cooked to order, served up by friendly, smiley staff and although the restaurant was busy, no one was kept waiting as the staff were on the go all the time to ensure that customers were seated at clean tables as soon as one came available.
Whoever trains the staff at this hotel has got it just right. All of the staff were, polite, helpful, smartly turned out and they appear as though they enjoy their work. We'll done to all of you. I will be back and I highly recommend your hotel

I had stayed in this hotel a few years ago on a work trip and had no issues. However, this time I was disappointed. Cleanliness was a big issue which there is really no excuse for in these times especially; I arrived at 9pm and when I got into my room, I discovered there was dirt on the TV remote and table which I had to wipe off. Shower curtain was dirty. I noticed getting out of the shower on one occasion that someone had previously drawn a face on the mirror and it hadn't been cleaned off properly because the steam from the shower made it very visible still on the mirror! The hairdryer didn't work - would have commented on this at reception if I hadn't been running late. The metal casing on the slot you put your card in in the room broke. Had the joy of waking up to someone throwing up outside the hotel (my room faced the car park) at around 8am on one morning although that can't be helped. They said at check in when I arrived that they were fully booked all weeked so knew I couldn't change rooms. All in all, just needs a lot of TLC and improvements in basic cleaning. Not too bad for a base - which thankfully was all I used it for - but not good value for money for the extortionate sum I was charged for the privilege. Might be worth checking out the Jury's Inn across the road instead as I have stayed there before a couple of years ago, although this might also now have the same problem!
