All the staff at Falkland Arms were enthusiastic and made us welcome. The pub and rooms were very old and quirky. The floor downstairs is great big flagstones and the decor is lovely and rustic. Our room (no 4) was above the front door and we wondered if it would be too noisy on Saturday night. It was fine and...

Terrific – superlative village pub with blazing fireplace in the winter. Excellent food at dinner and breakfast and the bedrooms are lovely (albeit up steep stairs). Nice garden in the rear. Quintessentially English village off the beaten path with thatched cottages and lovely walks. Friendly and accommodating staff.

If you want to see a 16th century pub this is a must! ( Do a little research online; the history is fascinating!) I've been told it's a favorite of Prince Harry, but I wasn't in luck. You will feel like your stepping back in time, as you enter the little village of Great Tew. Have your camera ready, as...

The beer was fine with a nice choice and the evening meal in the restaurant was spot on including a great steak - at this point...

The Falkland Arms is the perfect gem to find when looking for an authentic local place without compromising on service. A charming pub hotel in a charming village, it's efficiently run but much more importantly, it's a friendly place with a likeable buzz to it.

The four of us wanted to spend New Year's Eve in a traditional country pub and The Falkland Arms was a great choice. It's set in glorious Oxfordshire countryside which means there are terrific walks pretty much on the doorstep. If you are looking for a wonderfully traditional pub with great beers and excellent food then look no further. We...

We have just spent a wonderful weekend at the Falkland Arms. The pub is a 16th century chocolate box inn. Beautiful! There are six rooms in the inn and a lovely cottage which is where we stayed. The hosts Chris and Louise and all their staff are such lovely friendly people and they helped make our weekend memorable. The food...
