Beyond our expectations! We stayed at Badgemore Park in July 2020 for a business trip, and during COVID-19 the rooms had been completely upgraded and it was like walking into a showhome! The rooms are stunning and do not look like the photos shown on Trip Advisor any more (I have attached a couple of my room)! I booked through airbnb and the process was really simple. Marc called me almost immediately after I booked to walk me through all of the COVID precautions and made sure he understood our groups needs. Although the "clubhouse" was shut at the moment for food, he was able to assure me we would have lunch, dinner and breakfast all catered for. On arrival, we saw Robbie the chef who went completely out of his way to cook our group a private bbq in the evening and we were treated to bacon baguettes in the morning from the "halfway hut" on the resort. Marc went above and beyond during our stay, and allowed us to make full use of the resort including the boardroom for our meetings. The property has a lovely lounge area with sofas and a TV, and leads onto a beautiful patio and grass area outside for relaxing in the sun. I would fully recommend staying here and I can't thank Marc and Robbie enough for their efforts with our group! We will be coming back!

I stayed here for 5 nights initially there were issues with the room i'd booking using Booking.com so this was resolved by Mark, thanks Mark. The rooms are very modern, clean and tidy and decorated to a high standard, nice colour scheme with matching accessories. I stayed in two rooms upstairs, being a solo traveller it is important to have a room on the first floor as one feel safer at night time. The breakfast service was very good outside seating was nice, but cigarette butts on the ground - so this area could do with a sweep up each morning before breakfast service. The staff serving the breakfast were really good, Dwight is an asset to your catering side. The only downside was morning and evening outside the room there were bootcamp style gym classes taking place in the garden, i'd not expected them to take place but the participants were having fun. Also on a couple of the days there was a chatty dog staying downstairs which barking was a tad annoying at times luckily i couldn't hear it too much. Thankfully I wasn't in the next door room. The tea and coffee tray was good with biscuits, bottled water etc and bathroom products were good. The showers were really good in both rooms, the beds were very comfortable. Parking outside the building very handy. There are offices below but this wasn't an issue.

I'd not hesitate in visiting again. I didn't experience evening food as at the time of my stay this wasn't always available, but this may be available now.

The room was very clean and modern, staff at the golf club were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was really nice with a good choice of food, again really good service from all the staff. We used Chiltern Cars to go in to Henley and back, £6 each way which we were happy with instead of driving in at night.

The room are housed in a separate building to the golf club, with its own parking area. However, please bear in mind that below the rooms is a 'Health Clinic' which seems to start work around 8.15/8.30am. They have no regard at all for the guests in the rooms above. We heard conversations (personal and work) and laughing very clearly each morning! Something to consider when booking if you like a lie in!

On the day we checked out a car was blocking us in in car park. My husband went to the rooms in the clinic that we could see has we entered but no one was around. So he then went around the back to where we had seen people coming and going form our room. He put his head around the open door, apologised to the lady and asked if she knew who's car this was! She replied 'Its mine, I am in the middle of a test, how rude of you!' (my husband is never rude to anyone). We took the key to the main building and told the lovely staff about our situation, the young gentleman came over and went into the clinic to ask her to move her car. Within minutes, she was out moving it with a very unhappy face! Why you block someone in if you aren't available to move you car on request is beyond me. Thank you to the great staff at Bagdemore for sorting this out quickly for us.

Would definitely consider staying here if we find ourselves in the area again.

We approached the venue in respect of our wedding in July 2021 and was placed in touch with the business manager named Mark whom we arranged to meet at the venue.
He showed us around and we made it very clear at the time of viewing that we wanted the run of the whole venue for the day inclusive of the 8 guest rooms they had, as we had guests travelling from far and wide and didn’t want our guests to be having any further travel upon arrival for our day.
The venue is lovely and everything we wanted for our day, if only the same could be said for Mark’s management which at best can be described as poor and extremely naive.
We put a reasonable proposal to him, asking him to relocate the 5 guest he had in the rooms for the night before our wedding and the night of our wedding, we did not see this as an issue given we were proposing to spend a five figure sum on our wedding, we wanted our day to be special and having found such a special venue felt this minor problem could be very easily resolved
We were shocked when mark refused this request, despite admitting that the wedding was worth much more than 5 paying guest, we were even more shocked when we put a second proposal to him, asking the venue to cover the costs of our guests travel from nearby accommodation to enable them to fully enjoy our special day and this was also refused.
The tag line on this companies wedding Facebook page is that ‘nothing is too much trouble to make your day special’ based on the above that is clearly a false representation.
We would urge anybody reading this review to think twice about considering this venue as a place to hold your wedding, our experience has left a very bitter taste on what should be a very pleasurable experience

Dear Scott, I am sorry that our service didn't match your expectations in this instance but I feel I must make clear our code of ethics to you. As I explained in person, and again on the telephone, we already have accommodation bookings on your date of choice - and whilst we wish we could please everyone, it is just not possible for us to meet your expectations and cancel pre-existing bookings just because an enquiry worth more money has come in. We believe this would be unethical and wrong of us and is therefore something we are not prepared to do. I appreciate that you did not agree with my decision but we work hard to ensure our reputation as a company is based on loyalty and putting our customers first (on this occasion, those that have already booked their accommodation with us a year in advance). During such a tough time for businesses, I hope that my view on the situation, in putting professionalism, loyalty and customer care above short-term financial gain, will stand us in good stead to overcome the challenges businesses currently face. I am pleased that you liked the venue and I am sorry that we have been unable to accommodate your request on this occasion. I wish you and your fiancée every happiness on your Wedding day and beyond and hope you can find a wedding venue that suits all your requirements.

I stayed on a Sunday and checked in just before 4pm. Half an hour later I went to the bar to look at the menu, only to be told they stop serving food at 4pm on Sundays. I was told in email correspondence that this was highlighted on my booking confirmation. This is not a lot of good when you've booked a non-cancellable rate. Of course I would not have gone through with the booking had I known this.
I also tried to call the business telephone number 6 times between 6.30pm and 8pm for assistance and no one answered. I appreciate this accommodation is B&B and not a hotel, but staff were about so I find this wholly unacceptable.
HOWEVER. Perfectly clean and modern. The bedroom was spacious and well equipped. The shower was easily controllable, with very good pressure. The lady that checked me in and served me breakfast was very pleasant. The breakfast was lovely.

Dear Guest, Firstly, thank you for choosing to stay with us. I am very disappointed to hear that your experience with us only warranted two stars as our restaurant was not open for evening meals on Sundays. As a B&B, our on-site bar and restaurant is an enhancement to our guest experience rather than the main reason for guests choosing to stay with us. I am pleased that you were happy with the standard of your room and the facilities alongside the breafast and service you received, however and it is a shame that this do not mean your overall rating of your stay was higher. We do in fact have the information regarding our kitchen opening hours on our website, which can be viewed before booking. I also see that you booked via booking.com and have checked our listing on there which states that our on-site restaurant offers breakfast and lunch. The additional evening menu offering Monday to Saturday during the Summer months is an enhancement to our offering and one we only communicate to guests as an option once they have booked. In regards to the club telephone number not being answered, whilst the office numbers called are not manned into the evening on a Sunday, there is an out-of-hours mobile number available which is detailed in the reservation confirmation emails and the guest information pack in the room, which would have been answered at any time. The staff that were on duty in the bar would have also been delighted to help had you popped over to ask them. Once again, apologies that you were disappointed during your stay but I am pleased that aside from being unable to get an evening meal, the rest of your stay was an enjoyable one. Kind Regards, Marc Goodwin

We traveled over from Ireland to watch our daughter at Henley Royal and I had managed to book the Badgemore Park for 2 nights. We were absolutely delighted with our accommodation, having spent a very uncomfortable previous night at The Catherine Wheel in Henley. The room was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean with a Nespresso machine and tea and coffee supplies. All of the staff that we met were so friendly and welcoming, the breakfasts were fabulous (particularly the lovely smoothies). We had drinks in the bar each evening before taking a taxi into Henley (could probably walk in 20mins) which was very convenient and only £5-7 each way. I have already booked for next year as wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Henley during the Regatta.

Not a bad option, if you want to stay around the beautiful village of Henley-On-Thames. It was not easy finding my room when arriving a dark evening around midnight in December, but luckily the cook was there (a coincidence) and could point me in the right direction. Rooms are quite nice, good size, good toilet and shower (one loose handle in the bathroom, though). Tv, a cooker and a small table/chair in the room as well. Breakfast was fine, good quality and an OK selection of stuff. Cleaning was fine.
My only negative point is the location - albeit in a very nice, green park, the location is NOT good for walking to Henley, as there are not really any paivements to walk on, so it seems a bit dangerous to walk down, especially at night. But apart from this, this B&B can be recommended as good value for money.

Rooms are quite expensive to stay in Henley so this is quite good value for a small room so not sure if would stay more than a night . Our room was modern and en-suite which was nice , just felt a bit hemmed in , had to get ready in bathroom as the dressing table bit had lots of tea / coffee clutter and no decent light , but did have a seat and mirror ! Room amenities are quite good but would have preferred sealed / cold water. Tv is small but then the room is , did have Netflix. On the whole not bad , not sure about other room having a bathroom on landing as this made our room noisy with people going to the toilet etc in the night and slamming doors . Breakfast was quite good everything hot, orange juice should be squeezed and not watered down for a quality establishment, lovely view over the golf course with wildlife etc .

Nice place but don’t consider if you value a good nights sleep. About 6am the ground staff fired up the leaf blowers at the first tee right outside where guests stay. Incredibly noisy, went on for ages and no way anyone could sleep through that. Seems the golf club has not thought about guests at all here. Not the fault of grounds staff, they are just doing their job. Went out and had a chat and they said it needed to be done for 7am tee offs.

Thank you for your review and I apologise that you were disturbed early in the morning due to the course maintenance requirements. Since you brought this to our attention during your stay, we have subsequesntly altered our greenkeeping practices to ensure the team do not do any work around that area until later in the morning. I hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay and apologies once again.

My husband and I had our wedding here last Saturday and what an amazing venue! Set in beautiful surroundings with lots of space inside and out.
The staff were brilliant and made sure everything ran smoothly, they were friendly and extremely helpful, especially Carina and Peter who planned and organised everything.
They organised the disco for the evening and that was great.
The food was outstanding and all of our guests said how much they enjoyed it.
Unfortunatly when we booked the venue in January all of the rooms were already full so we had to find alternative accommodation for ourselves and some of our guests.
We did however find a nice hotel in Henley so it all worked out ok.
Would definitly recommend Badgemore Park as a wedding venue. We loved it and our wedding was perfect.
Thank you
Debbie and Lyn Reed
