This was a perfect experience. We went with a couple who had never been to England before and we could not have asked for a better introduction. The rooms were large, house keeping was spot on. It was the hottest week in England and the A/C was truly appreciated. The food was excellent. We will be back. Thank you to the entire crew there.

I was lucky enough to have my 40th birthday party here last night, the most incredible venue! It’s stunning, the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating and the buffet was outstanding & plentiful. We stayed over and the rooms were beautiful, breakfast also outstanding. We will be back, thank you Relais!

Staff treated very badly, management take a percentage of the service charge and take out any breakages or damage as well. Was very disappointed to hear this considering the staff were very helpful and friendly. Management really need to stop this kind of behaviour or just pay the staff more,especially when charging 3.95 for a coffee.

Went to the relais today for afternoon tea, this was our third afternoon tea here and yet again it did not disappoint. The sandwiches were so fresh and the scones were delicious. A lovely mixture of cakes and all homemade. Our waitress was Linda and she was so helpful and friendly. Yet another five star afternoon tea . Thank you relais

From the moment we arrived, to when we left, we were so well looked after. All staff were helpful and friendly. The afternoon tea was the best I’ve had in years! All the food was freshly made and beautifully presented. We had delicious pastries/ cakes ( banoffee tart/ carrot cake/ lemon drizzle and chocolate biscuits!) The warm scones were so tasty and had clearly been freshly made/ cooked ( definitely not reheated) and we topped them with Jan and clotted cream! There were many choices of teas too. We had such a wonderful afternoon.

We attended an outside event at The Relais and was very impressed with the refurbishment that this hotel has gone through since it was the Red Lion Hotel. However I was totally disgusted that when we had a drink at the bar before the event - which may I add were not the cheapest of drinks we were charges 12% service charge. We ordered at the bar and the bar person served us so where does the service charge come from - he was doing his job !!!!. Yes the hotel do advise that there is a service charge but in very small print on a bar menu, Who reads a menu when ordering a drink. Left a very bitter taste !!! We do not live in the USA culture of automatic tipping and if I wish to tip, I will do so but not on bar drinks !!!!!!

My husband booked a two night stay here for a Birthday surprise for me and what a wonderful surprise it was !! On arrival we were greeted by a lovely member of staff who was so friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely. The decor of the hotel is very regal and relaxing. The breakfast was great …lovely choice of cooked food and again the staff were lovely. The hotel is in a perfect location to explore Henley and view the river. I had a wonderful Birthday and would definitely recommend the hotel and most definitely return. Thank you to all at the Relais for making our stay with you very special.

This was our third visit to the Relais and we could not have felt more welcome or comfortable. We had a beautiful room looking out onto the river, and as a past rower I loved just sitting and watching the water. The room was spotlessly clean and I had the best night’s sleep for ages in the amazingly comfortable bed. It was a birthday gift from our son and Monika and the rest of the Relais team helped make the stay even more special. We will be sure to return.

A wonderful night away in a pristine, very comfortable hotel with friendly staff and good food. We wished we had been able to stay longer. The room was immaculate with excellent soundproofing double glazing on the road side of the room. The bed was large and the mattress comfortable with high quality linens. There were plenty of soft towels in the bathroom. The food in the restaurant was first class and served by a friendly team, Linda in particular. The reception team were a wonderful first point of contact with the hotel and always there to help with any questions.

Really enjoyed our stay inHenley, extremely helpful staff and will definitely come again would definitely recommend. We had a courtyard room, I was unwell when we booked and although didn’t request a room with “accessibility “ they had noted I might need a wheelchair and had given me a suitable room.
